Diagnosis: During our inspection, we found an over suds condition detected F0E2 error code. The root cause of the noise was that the nut on the bottom of the splutch assembly had worked loose, causing the mechanical components to vibrate and create the loud screeching sound during operation.
Repair: Work: Retightened the loose nut on the bottom of the splutch assembly with Loctite thread locker · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Eliminated the noise and screeching sound during wash and rinse cycles
Whirlpool refrigerator (ED5GTOXKQ81) — Strasburg, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the ice maker stopped working. For a while it would not stop making ice, then it wouldn’t make it at all. The metal arm came off that goes up and down to stop and start it.
Diagnosis: The metal control arm had become detached from the icemaker mechanism. This arm is critical for the automatic cycling that controls when the icemaker starts and stops ice production. Without it properly secured, the system couldn’t function normally.
Repair: Work: Fastened the arm back on the icemaker · Parts: None required · Result: Issue is resolved
Whirlpool washer (WTW8900BC0) — East Sparta, OH
Reported: The customer reported their washer won’t spin on any cycle. No matter which wash setting they selected, the drum would fill and agitate but fail to complete the spin cycle, leaving clothes waterlogged.
Diagnosis: During inspection, we found the floating tub had gotten locked on the drive shaft. This mechanical binding prevented the tub from moving freely through its wash and spin cycles, explaining why the washer couldn’t complete any cycle properly.
Repair: Work: Broke the floating tub free from the drive shaft and applied lubricant · Parts: No parts required · Result: Washer now operates normally through all cycles
Whirlpool refrigerator (G16FARXXY08) — Louisville, OH

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we confirmed the roller kit in the top rack had failed. The plastic rollers had cracked or broken, causing the rack to bind and stick when attempting to pull it out.
Repair: Work: Installed the roller kit in the top rack · Parts: Roller kit for top rack · Result: Top rack now slides smoothly in and out
GE refrigerator (PFSS2MIXBSS) — Malvern, OH
Reported: The customer reported their GE refrigerator was not cooling well. This type of cooling issue can stem from several components in the refrigeration system, requiring systematic diagnosis to identify the root cause.
Diagnosis: We found that the start relay overload device had failed. Additionally, the mullion between the two fridge doors had broken. Both components needed replacement to restore proper refrigerator function.

Repair: Work: Straightened out the bent right hand hinge and reattached it · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Operation is normal
Whirlpool refrigerator (WRB322DMBM00 Serial Number K51717207) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that it looked like water from their ice maker was leaking into the freezer. This type of moisture issue can be concerning since it suggests either a mechanical problem with the icemaker or an issue with the freezer’s seal integrity.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed that the icemaker was operating correctly with no signs of leakage. However, we found a glaze of frost throughout the freezer compartment. This frost pattern is characteristic of what we see when a freezer door has been left cracked open, allowing warm, humid air to enter and create condensation that freezes.
Repair: Work: Diagnosed icemaker operation and identified frost pattern consistent with door seal issue · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Confirmed icemaker functioning properly; advised customer on proper door closure
Samsung dishwasher (DW80F800UWS/AA) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported getting error code SE or 5E each time the dishwasher ran. Initially, the entire cycle would still run even when the error code came on, but eventually the code started appearing about 5 minutes into the cycle and the dishwasher would stop running completely.
Diagnosis: Samsung SE/5E error codes indicate a drain issue. The sump area and drain line were clogged with debris, preventing proper water drainage and triggering the error code protection system.
Repair: Work: Cleaned out the sump and the line that goes from the sump to the case break assembly. Ran it on a clean cycle with Affresh cleaner. · Parts: None · Result: Issue is resolved
Thor stove (36″ stand alone/slide.HRG3618U) — Canton, OH

Diagnosis: On this Kenmore 80 Series model, when the drum fails to spin but water still pumps out, the issue typically points to worn transmission components. The clutch assembly engages the spin basket, while the agitator dogs control the agitator’s directional movement during different cycle phases.
Repair: Work: Replaced the clutch and agitator dog assembly on the washer · Parts: 285785 clutch, 80040 agitator dog assembly · Result: Drum now spins properly during the spin cycle
Frigidaire refrigerator (FGHS2655PF6B) — North Canton, OH

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we discovered the defrost drain tube had come loose off of the bottom of the freezer compartment. When this tube disconnects, defrost water can’t drain properly and backs up into areas where it causes leaking and can affect ice production.
Repair: Work: Replaced the defrost drain tube connection · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Issue resolved, proper drainage restored
Kenmore dryer — Minerva, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Kenmore dryer won’t turn. The unit would not respond when attempting to start a cycle, leaving clothes wet and the household without drying capability.

Despite being 13 years old and having handled cloth diapers for three kids, the owner wanted to keep this workhorse running.
Diagnosis: Testing confirmed the heating element had failed completely. With no heat generation, the dryer couldn’t reach the temperature needed to trigger the moisture sensor and automatic shut-off cycle. Samsung dryer (MOISTURE SENSOR) — North Canton, OH

GE dryer (GTDP180GD1WW) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dryer was squeaking pretty badly, and it appeared to be a friction point of the drum against the front left corner. They had taken the lid off and squirted some WD40 on the area, which stopped the noise for about 3-4 cycles, but it came back. They could see that there was a felt gasket that was out of place and suspected the only way to reset it was to take the drum out.
Diagnosis: Our inspection confirmed the customer’s assessment. The felt gasket was indeed displaced, causing the drum to rub against the front housing. The bearing and drum slides also showed wear from the misalignment, requiring replacement to ensure smooth, quiet operation.
