The Coverage

Standard Repairs — Lifetime of the Appliance

Applies to every repair we make on washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, ovens, cooktops, wall ovens, microwaves, ice makers (non-sealed), garbage disposals, wine coolers (non-sealed), and all non-sealed-system work on refrigerators and freezers — including door seals, fans, thermostats, control boards, water valves, defrost systems, and ice and water dispensers.

If the specific component we replaced fails again, we replace it at no charge. Parts and labor are covered for as long as you own the appliance and the manufacturer continues to support it with OEM replacement parts.

Sealed System Repairs — Manufacturer Parts + 6 Months Labor

Applies to any repair that opens the sealed refrigerant circuit: compressor replacement, sealed leak repair, evaporator or condenser work, drier replacement, and refrigerant recharge.

Replacement parts are covered by the original equipment manufacturer’s warranty per that manufacturer’s terms. Coverage durations vary by brand, model, and component. Where parts are within the manufacturer’s warranty period, we handle the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf and install the replacement part.

Our labor on sealed system repairs is covered for 6 months from the date of your repair. If a sealed system component we replaced fails within 6 months, our labor is free. After 6 months, the part remains covered by the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable, but our standard labor rate applies.

Our Diagnostic Policy

If the component we replaced fails again, we waive our diagnostic fee and the repair is free under this guarantee.

If, during our visit, we find that a different component has failed, our standard service call applies to that new repair.

What Isn’t Covered

  • Warranty work governed elsewhere. Repairs performed under a manufacturer’s warranty, home warranty company (AHS, Choice, etc.), or third-party extended service plan are governed by that provider’s warranty terms, not this guarantee.
  • Customer-supplied parts. Parts supplied or sourced by the customer — including parts shipped under a separate manufacturer warranty (e.g., compressors provided directly by LG under their sealed system warranty).
  • Non-failure causes. Damage or malfunction caused by power surges, water damage, pest damage, misuse, abuse, unauthorized modification, or acts of nature.
  • Unrelated components. Failures of components we did not replace.
  • Cosmetic issues. Scratches, dents, finish discoloration, or other cosmetic concerns not affecting function.
  • Subsequent service by others. If another company services the same component after our repair, warranty coverage on that component is void.
  • Appliances beyond support. If the manufacturer discontinues OEM replacement parts for the appliance, this guarantee ends for that appliance.
  • Consequential damage. Water damage, fire damage, spoiled food, loss of use, and other consequential damages are excluded. These are typically covered by homeowner’s insurance.

Who’s Covered

This guarantee covers the original purchaser of the repair. If you move within Louisville Appliance Repair’s service area and take the appliance with you, the guarantee moves with you. If you sell, give away, or otherwise transfer the appliance to a new owner, this guarantee does not transfer.

How to Make a Claim

Provide your approximate service date, the appliance make and model, and a description of the issue. We’ll look up your repair in our system and schedule a warranty visit at no charge if the issue is within scope.

Emergency & After-Hours Service

Our standard emergency and after-hours scheduling fees apply on all service calls, including warranty calls. Only the diagnostic portion is waived under warranty.

Legal Terms

This is a Limited Warranty under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. § 2301 et seq.). No oral statements by any employee or contractor of Louisville Appliance Repair create warranty obligations beyond those stated in this document.

Implied warranties. Where applicable state law does not allow implied warranties to be limited, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the express warranty period stated above.

Limitation of liability. Louisville Appliance Repair’s total liability under this guarantee is limited to the cost of the original repair. We are not liable for incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Governing law. This guarantee is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Stark County, Ohio.

Revision. Louisville Appliance Repair may update these terms for future repairs. The terms in effect at the time of your repair govern your coverage.
