See the full service area map.

What are your service hours?

Field service Monday–Saturday. Online scheduling and form submission available 24/7 — we respond within minutes during business hours.

Do you offer same-day appliance repair?

When schedule openings allow, yes — same-day service is available across Stark County. The best path is to submit a request via /schedule/ or call (330) 693-9163; we’ll confirm availability based on the day’s route.

Pricing & Diagnostic Fee

How much is the service call fee?

Starting at $167. The fee varies by appliance type and timing (wall ovens are typically $189). The diagnostic service call fee always applies toward the total repair price when you proceed — it’s not a separate charge added to the repair.

Does the diagnostic fee apply toward my repair?

Yes. The diagnostic fee applies toward the total repair price when you proceed with the work. You only pay the diagnostic fee on its own if you decide not to move forward after the assessment.

How do I pay?

Online via iWallet — secure hosted payment page. We do not accept credit cards over the phone and digital receipts are sent to your email (no paper receipts). Pay at /pay/ when your invoice arrives.

Do you give upfront pricing?

Yes. After diagnosis you receive a firm written quote before any repair work begins. No work happens without your approval.

Warranty & Guarantee

Do you offer a warranty on appliance repairs?

Yes. Every completed repair is backed by our 6-month labor warranty — if the part we replaced fails again within 6 months, we come back and fix it free of labor charges. Manufacturer parts warranties apply on top of that per the manufacturer’s terms (compressors and sealed-system components typically have multi-year parts coverage from the OEM).

What if the same problem comes back after the repair?

If the component we replaced fails again within 6 months, we waive the diagnostic and the repair is free under our labor warranty. If we find a different component has failed, our standard service call fee applies to that new repair.

Factory Authorizations & Credentials

What brands are you factory-authorized for?

Bosch, Thermador, GE Appliances, and Speed Queen. Louisville Appliance Repair is the only independent in Stark County holding all four factory authorizations simultaneously. Factory authorization means manufacturer-trained technicians, OEM parts, and warranty-eligible repairs.

What appliance brands do you repair?

All major brands — Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, GE, Samsung, LG, Bosch, Thermador, Speed Queen, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Amana, Hotpoint, Kenmore, Café, Sub-Zero, Viking, and more. If it’s in your home, we service it.

What credentials does the technician hold?

M-CAP — Master Certified Appliance Professional (Professional Service Association), EPA Section 608 Universal for refrigerant handling, R-600a hydrocarbon refrigerant certification (Dyer Appliance Academy), and Lokring sealed-system joining certification. See the full credentials on the About page.

Repair vs. Replace

Is it worth repairing my old appliance or should I replace it?

In most cases, repair is the smarter financial choice. The best appliance is often the one already in your home — older appliances are frequently built to higher mechanical tolerances than budget replacements. We always compare repair cost to new replacement cost only (never used appliances). If repair cost is under ~50% of comparable new, repair almost always wins. We tell you honestly when it doesn’t make sense to repair.

Do you have a conflict of interest recommending repair vs. replacement?

No. We’re a dedicated repair company — we do not sell new appliances. Our only incentive is to give you an accurate assessment.

Common Failures

Why is my refrigerator not cooling?

A fridge that runs but won’t cool usually has one of four root causes: frost buildup on the evaporator coils blocking airflow (defrost system failure), a failed evaporator fan motor, a dirty or failing condenser, or a sealed system issue. If the freezer is cold but the fridge is warm, the evaporator fan or defrost system is almost always the cause. A proper diagnosis checks all four areas before any parts are replaced. See our refrigerator repair page.

Why is my dryer not heating?

Most online guides say “replace the thermal fuse” — that’s incomplete. A no-heat dryer usually means restricted exhaust airflow tripped the thermal fuse as a safety. Just replacing the fuse without clearing the airflow restriction means the new fuse will blow within weeks. On Samsung electric dryers specifically, the heating element itself is the #1 most-replaced part. See our dryer repair page or the full diagnostic walk-through.

Why won’t my washing machine drain?

Water sitting in the drum after the cycle ends usually means a clogged drain pump filter, a failed drain pump, a kinked or obstructed drain hose, or a lid/door switch fault preventing the spin cycle. Front-load washers commonly have debris caught in the pump impeller. Most washer drain issues are diagnosed and cleared in a single visit. See our washer repair page.

My LG refrigerator runs but doesn’t cool — what’s wrong?

If the compressor sounds normal and there’s no error code, it’s almost certainly the LG linear compressor’s internal reed valve. The compressor motor keeps running normally but can’t generate the pressure differential needed to move refrigerant. Pressure testing confirms the diagnosis. LG provides a 10-year parts warranty on the linear compressor for most models manufactured after 2017 — see our LG refrigerator repair page for the labor-only arrangement we use on warranty-covered compressors.

My Samsung refrigerator back wall keeps frosting over — defrosting only buys me 2–3 weeks. What’s actually wrong?

It’s a design problem, not a defrost problem. The Samsung evap-cover drain on common platforms gets blocked and defrost water refreezes on the coil. Defrosting melts the ice but doesn’t fix the drain. The real fix is an aftermarket drain modification or OEM service procedure — sealed system intact, no refrigerant work needed. See our Samsung refrigerator repair page.
