About Sam & how I work
Who will actually do my repair?
Me — Sam Willhite. I own and operate Louisville Appliance Repair, and I’m the person who shows up at your door. No call center, no rotating crew of techs. I’ve been repairing appliances since 2018.
What training and certifications do you have?
I hold EPA 608 Universal, R-600a sealed-system, Lokring, and M-CAP master certifications. I’ve also specialized in Samsung and LG since 2018, back when a lot of local shops wouldn’t touch them.

What areas do you serve?
I’m based in Louisville, Ohio, and I cover Stark County plus about 25 miles in most directions — Canton, Alliance, Massillon, North Canton, Hartville, Uniontown, Louisville, and East Canton, reaching into Summit, Portage, Mahoning, Columbiana, and Carroll counties. Not sure if you’re in range? Just text me your town.
What are your hours?
Scheduling is open 24 hours a day — text or book online any time. Service calls run Monday–Friday.
Do you offer same-day appliance repair?
Often, yes — I aim for same day or next day whenever possible. The sooner you send your appliance details, the better I can fit you in.

Brands & appliances
What appliance brands do you repair?
All the major brands — Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, GE, Samsung, LG, Bosch, Speed Queen, Frigidaire, Kenmore, and more. Samsung and LG have been a specialty of mine since 2018.
What appliances do you fix?
Refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, ovens, ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, freezers, ice makers, and more. If it’s a major home appliance, text me and I’ll tell you whether it’s something I handle.
Warranty & parts
Do you warranty your repairs?
Yes. Every repair I complete is backed by a 6-month labor warranty on the work I do.
What if the same problem comes back?
If something I repaired acts up again within six months, I come back and make it right — you don’t pay for that return labor.
Do you use quality parts?
I use OEM parts so the repair lasts. I’d rather do it once than twice.
Repair or replace
Is it worth repairing my old appliance?
Usually, yes — especially on a machine in good overall shape and on its first major repair. A single failed part almost always beats buying, waiting for, and learning a whole new appliance. The best appliance is often the one already in your home.
Will you tell me if it’s not worth fixing?
Always. If an appliance genuinely isn’t worth repairing, I’ll tell you straight before you spend anything on parts.
Common problems
Why is my refrigerator not cooling?
A fridge that runs but won’t cool usually points to the defrost system, the evaporator fan, a dirty or failing condenser, or a sealed-system issue. If the freezer is cold but the fresh-food side is warm, it’s almost always the evaporator fan or defrost. I check all of it before replacing anything.
Why isn’t my dryer heating?
Most no-heat dryers come down to airflow or the heat circuit — a clogged lint path or vent, a blown thermal fuse, a failed heating element, or a tripped high-limit thermostat. I test the whole heat circuit and the airflow path together, not just the obvious part.
Why won’t my washer drain?
Water left in the drum usually means a clogged pump filter, a failed drain pump, a kinked or blocked drain hose, or a lid or door switch that’s stopping the spin. Most drain issues I can clear in one visit.
