Admiral refrigerator (PFSS6PKW/PFSF6PKW) — Akron, OH
Reported: The customer reported that water and ice were not working properly. The freezer made very few cubes per day but did slowly make ice cubes. The water dispenser released water very slowly, much slower than other water-in-door models. Water had collected and frozen on the bottom of the top mount refrigerator compartment.
Diagnosis: This turned out to be a Samsung fridge branded as GE. We found a plugged defrost drain in the fresh food compartment causing the water collection and freezing. The ice maker wasn’t filling all the way with water, requiring further investigation and a return visit to complete the repair.
Repair: Work: Cleared plugged defrost drain in fresh food compartment, installed new ice maker, and drilled larger hole in water valve · Parts: DA97-05422A ice maker assembly kit and 242193206 refrigerator door gasket · Result: Ice production and water flow restored to normal operation

Kenmore dryer — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dryer won’t start, lights are on, and it tries to run, but shuts off immediately. This symptom pattern typically indicates an electrical supply issue rather than a component failure within the dryer.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed the 240v outlet was faulty. The dryer was receiving partial power — enough to illuminate the control lights — but insufficient voltage to sustain motor operation, causing the immediate shutdown.
Repair: Work: Replaced dryer 240v outlet · Parts: 240v dryer outlet · Result: Dryer now receives proper 240v supply and operates normally
Admiral dryer — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Admiral dryer was not heating. Without heat, clothes would tumble but never dry properly.
Diagnosis: On our first visit in April, we found the high limit thermostat on the heater had failed. However, we also discovered the dryer vent was plugged, which likely caused the overheating that damaged the thermostat. On the May follow-up, the cycling thermostat had also failed, confirming the vent blockage was still causing problems.
Repair: Work: Replaced failed thermostats and advised customer about vent cleaning requirements · Parts: 279816 — high limit cutoff thermal switch (both visits), cycling thermostat · Result: Dryer restored to proper heating operation under warranty

Speed queen washer (AWN432SP113TW04) — Canal Fulton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Speed Queen washer was stuck in rinse cycle. The machine would fill and rinse but wouldn’t progress to the spin cycle or complete the wash program.
Diagnosis: Testing the washer’s cycle progression revealed the timer was no longer advancing properly. The timer mechanism controls the sequence and duration of each wash cycle phase, and when it fails, the machine gets stuck at whatever point in the cycle the timer stopped functioning.
Repair: Work: Replaced the timer · Parts: 203387P — Timer, 120V 4 cycle double · Result: Washer now completes full wash cycles normally
Samsung dryer (Dv210aew) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported that their Whirlpool washer was showing F09 and E01 error code flashes and it will not drain. These error codes typically indicate drainage system problems that prevent the washer from completing its cycle.

Repair: Work: Diagnosis completed, motor failure confirmed · Parts: No parts were installed · Result: Customer decided to replace the dryer rather than repair
Admiral microwave install or replacement (72180022700) — Canton, OH
Reported: The Admiral microwave would shut off after 40 seconds of operation, making it impossible to heat food properly. This timing issue prevented normal microwave use regardless of the power setting selected.

Repair: Work: Diagnostic call for microwave
Whirlpool Washer; 3 washers total (WTW6200SW2, 110.28632701) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that all three Whirlpool washers just will not drain. This left clothes sitting in standing water after wash cycles completed.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection of all three units, we found that none of them were economically repairable. The extent of the issues across multiple washers made repair costs prohibitive compared to replacement value.
Repair: Work: Evaluation and assessment of all three units · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Wyndall took them for parts
Maytag washer (MVWB865GW0) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported they believed the bearing or gearbox was going out of the drive because it was extremely loud during the spin cycle and making that distinct grind sound. This grinding noise is a classic sign of transmission failure in Maytag washers.

Diagnosis: The washer in the farmhouse needed a rubber foot. The digital washer in the barn tested good but had one stored error code for long fill — this washer needs to have a hot and cold water supply since the computer utilizes both even if hot or cold is selected. The old direct drive washer needs a transmission which was too expensive to repair. The GE Dryer had a bad timer or motor and wasn’t worth repairing.
