Samsung dryer (DVE45M5500W/A3) — Akron, OH
Reported: The dryer will not stop spinning even when the power is off. The customer tried unplugging it and turning the breaker off and letting it sit 10 minutes and plugging it back in and it still spins.
Diagnosis: The motor relay had failed on the main control board. When a motor relay sticks in the closed position, it continues to send power to the drum motor regardless of the control settings or power switch position.
Repair: Work: Replaced the failed main control board · Parts: DC92-01896D — Assembly Holder PCB (main control board) · Result: Replacing the board resolved the issue
Frigidaire dishwasher (FFBD2406NS11B) — Akron, OH
Reported: The dishwasher will not drain. Water remained standing in the bottom of the tub after wash cycles, preventing normal operation and creating potential sanitary concerns.
Diagnosis: The dishwasher had an extension on the drain hose since it was so far from the sink drain. At that joint on the extension, there was a piece of plastic obstructing the water flow. During our second visit, we also discovered the dishwasher was leaking and required additional repairs to the door sealing system.
Repair: Work: Removed plastic obstruction from drain hose extension joint, replaced bottom door gasket, installed spray shields on the bottom of the door gasket · Parts: 809006501 — bottom door gasket, 154701001 — splash shield kit · Result: After removing the obstruction, the dishwasher is draining and operating correctly
Kenmore washer (110. 28002010) — Akron, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Kenmore washer does not complete the cycle. They mentioned it won’t operate unless they repeatedly unplug the cord and reset it.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found multiple error codes: F7E5 Shifter fault, F1E2 Motor control fault, F0E5 Off balance, and F7E6 motor fault. Despite these codes, I was able to get the washer to manually operate in the normal cycles. The pattern of faults and the need for constant unplugging indicated the control board is bad.
Repair: Work: Diagnostic testing and manual cycle operation · Parts: No parts used · Result: Multiple control faults confirmed, replacement recommended
Maytag dryer (SDE3606AYW) — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Maytag dryer won’t start. The unit showed no response when they attempted to run a cycle.
Diagnosis: Lint filter was broken. It had sucked up a sock and jammed the blower. The lint filter housing is no longer available from the manufacturer for this model.
Repair: Work: Diagnosed broken lint filter housing with sock obstruction · Parts: No parts available · Result: Recommended unit replacement due to unavailable parts
Frigidaire dryer (AFFINITY) — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Frigidaire dryer was shutting off after 2/3 minutes and not drying clothes. The unit was also displaying error code E68 on the control panel.

Frigidaire refrigerator (FRT18L4JM1) — Bowerston, OH
Reported: The customer called because their Frigidaire refrigerator was having the same problem that we had repaired on May 11, 2020. The freezer was working, but the refrigerator wasn’t getting cold. There was also some ice buildup at the front of the freezer.
Diagnosis: This was a return visit for the same symptoms, indicating the defrost system was still malfunctioning. The ice buildup at the front of the freezer and lack of cooling in the refrigerator compartment pointed to a defrost timer issue that hadn’t been fully resolved in the previous repair.
Repair: Work: Replaced the defrost timer · Parts: 215846602 — Defrost timer 60 HZ 120 · Result: Verified that machine was defrosting manually before leaving
Whirlpool dishwasher (WDT730PAHZ0) — Canal Fulton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that water runs but not washing. The dishwasher would fill with water during the cycle, but dishes remained dirty because the water wasn’t circulating properly to clean them.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed the circulation pump had failed. This motor-driven component is responsible for moving water through the spray arms and throughout the wash chamber. Without a functioning circulation pump, the dishwasher can’t create the water pressure needed for effective cleaning.
Repair: Work: Replaced circulation pump · Parts: W11084656 — circulation pump motor assembly · Result: Dishwasher now circulates water properly and cleans dishes effectively
Samsung dishwasher (DMT800RHS) — Canal Fulton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Samsung dishwasher was showing an OE fault. The manual said it was the over water sensor, but water was not left in dishwasher that they could see. They suspected either a small plug or sensor was bad.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the line was plugged between the sump and the water level sensor. This blockage was preventing proper communication between components, triggering the false OE error code even though no standing water was present in the tub.
Repair: Work: Cleared the obstruction in the line between the sump and water level sensor · Parts: None required · Result: The dishwasher operates correctly
Kenmore range/cooktop (790.46713605) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer was unable to open oven door and receiving error messages F30. A previous repair company had come out but was unable to fix the issue.
Diagnosis: Running the cleaning cycle had tripped the thermal cutout on the oven. The thermal cutout is a safety device that shuts down the oven when it detects excessive heat to prevent damage or fire hazards.
Repair: Work: Reset the thermal cutout (TCO) · Parts: None required · Result: The oven is good to go
Whirlpool washer (WFW75HEFW0) — Canton, OH

Kenmore refrigerator (106.9542882) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Kenmore refrigerator was not cooling. The unit had stopped maintaining proper temperatures and food was beginning to spoil.
Diagnosis: We found the cold control thermostat had failed. This component regulates when the compressor cycles on and off to maintain the set temperature. When it fails, the refrigerator loses its ability to cool properly.
Repair: Work: Replaced the failed cold control thermostat · Parts: WP2198202 — Cold control thermostat · Result: After replacing it, the fridge is cooling properly
Admiral Refrigerator; microwave install or replacement (LFHB2751TF5) — Canton, OH

Diagnosis: We found the ice maker fill tube was frozen, blocking water flow to the ice maker. This is what prevented ice production in the Admiral refrigerator.
Repair: Work: Installed new ice maker fill tube on the refrigerator and installed repair kit on Frigidaire dryer · Parts: 241920106 — Fill tube kit for Admiral refrigerator · Result: Ice maker restored to proper operation, dryer squeaking eliminated
GE refrigerator (GSF25IGZBBB) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that both the freezer and fridge sections were not cooling or freezing at all, with temperatures continuing to rise. This is exactly what happens when ice buildup blocks airflow between compartments.
Diagnosis: The freezer compartment was frosted up, indicating the defrost element had failed. When the defrost element stops working, ice accumulates and blocks the evaporator coils, preventing proper cooling throughout the entire refrigerator.
Repair: Work: Unplugged unit to thaw, then returned the next day to install new defrost element · Parts: WR51X10055 — refrigerator defrost element · Result: Proper defrost cycle restored, normal cooling resumed
Whirlpool dryer (WED85HEFW0) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Whirlpool dryer was not starting. When they attempted to run a cycle, the unit would not respond or begin tumbling.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found that small clothing items had been sucked up in the blower. These items had lodged in the fan, which prevented the dryer from turning and starting normally.
Repair: Work: Removed clothing items from blower fan, connected the exhaust vent, and adjusted the feet for stability · Parts: No parts required · Result: Dryer started properly and operated normally
Samsung washer (WF419AAW/XAA02) — Canton, OH
Reported: This Samsung washer was making a deep noise throughout the cycle like it was struggling and didn’t seem to be spinning as good as it was. The customer usually had to run the spin twice to get clothes to a point for drying, and had the drain code come up several times. When they tried to soak up the water, more water would seep into the tub.
Diagnosis: The symptoms pointed directly to drain pump failure. When a washer can’t drain properly, it struggles through cycles, won’t complete the spin cycle effectively, and throws drain error codes. The water seeping back into the tub confirmed the pump wasn’t moving water out of the system.
Repair: Work: Replaced the drain pump · Parts: LP054A — washer pump · Result: The washing machine is good to go
Samsung dryer (DV361EWBEWR/A3) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the dryer was not heating properly. They tried running it through a heavy duty cycle and it ran for a few minutes, started cooling for a minute, and then stopped.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, the dryer was actually heating properly. The issue was airflow restriction caused by wet lint accumulation in the bottom of the unit and an obstruction in the external vent screen where the exhaust exits through the wall.
Repair: Work: Cleaned wet lint out of the bottom by the dryer and removed obstruction from the screen outside where it comes through the wall · Parts: None required · Result: Dryer heating and operating normally with proper airflow restored
Kenmore dryer (not sure) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that after our recent panel board replacement, the dryer runs but clothes never get completely dry. The unit would complete its cycles but leave laundry damp, requiring multiple runs to achieve proper drying.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection of the exterior vent system, we discovered the screen on the outside dryer vent was inserted backwards. This backward installation prevented the dryer from venting properly, blocking airflow and causing the poor drying performance.
Repair: Work: Corrected the backwards vent screen installation · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Proper airflow restored, dryer now venting and drying properly
Frigidaire dishwasher (FGBD2431KB1) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Frigidaire dishwasher was leaking water and they needed to decide whether to repair or replace the unit.
Diagnosis: Hard water buildup had caused the water inlet hose to start leaking. The mineral deposits created a rust obstruction that compromised the connection integrity.
Repair: Work: Cleared the rust obstruction and reconnected the inlet line. Also ran it on a cleaning cycle with Affresh cleaner. · Parts: No parts required · Result: Leak eliminated and dishwasher returned to proper operation
Whirlpool dryer (Lgr8620pw0) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dryer won’t heat. The unit would run through its cycle but clothes remained wet since no heat was being generated during operation.
Diagnosis: The cycling thermostat had failed and the dryer wasn’t igniting. This thermostat controls when the heating element or gas burner cycles on and off during the drying process. When it fails, the dryer runs but produces no heat.
Repair: Work: Replaced the failed cycling thermostat · Parts: WP3387134 — cycling thermostat · Result: After replacing it, it’s cycling properly and generating heat as designed
Admiral washer — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their washer was vibrating a lot and yesterday started to have the smell of burnt rubber. They weren’t sure if a belt or motor was going bad, but knew something wasn’t right with how the machine was operating.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we determined that bearings are failing. This explains both the excessive vibration and the burnt rubber smell the customer noticed. When washer bearings deteriorate, they create friction that produces both symptoms.
Repair: Work: Diagnostic evaluation completed · Parts: No parts used · Result: Customer is replacing unit
Admiral refrigerator (FRT181L6EB1) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their refrigerator was freezing food in the fresh compartment. Items that should have stayed cool were turning into solid blocks of ice, making them unusable.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the refrigerator was set too cold. The temperature controls had been adjusted beyond the proper range, causing the fresh food compartment to operate at freezing temperatures instead of the intended cooling range.
Repair: Work: Cleaned off the coils and helped customer set it on a more appropriate setting · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Refrigerator returned to proper cooling temperatures
Samsung dryer (DV42H5200EF/A3-00) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their electric dryer spins but won’t heat. The drum would tumble clothes normally, but no heat was being generated during the cycle.
Diagnosis: The cycling thermostat had failed. This in turn took out the high limit thermal fuse. When the cycling thermostat fails, it can cause the high limit thermal fuse to blow as a safety measure to prevent overheating.
Repair: Work: Replaced the failed thermal fuse and cycling thermostat · Parts: DC96-00887C — thermal fuse · Result: After replacing, the dryer is operating correctly
Tappan oven/stove (12-1259-10 02158-11234267) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the pilot is lit but oven won’t light. This is a classic symptom of a gas valve issue in older ovens.
Diagnosis: We found that the oven valve has failed on this approximately 1973 model Tappan oven. The valve controls gas flow to the main burner, and when it fails, gas cannot reach the oven burner even when the pilot light is functioning.
Repair: Work: Diagnosis only · Parts: None available · Result: Unit determined to be unrepairable due to parts availability
Admiral oven/stove (FF-111) — East Rochester, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the door latch on their convection oven would not engage and allow the auto fan to operate. This prevented the convection system from functioning properly when the doors were closed.
Diagnosis: The chain that connects the two doors together had broken. When the chain fell off the sprocket, it bent the bracket and switches that turn the oven on and off when the doors open or close.
Repair: Work: Replaced a link of the chain and straightened the switch bracket back out · Parts: Master link · Result: Symptoms are resolved and unit is operating normally
GE refrigerator (GFE29HSDDSS) — Hartville, OH
Reported: The customer reported their refrigerator not cooling but freezer working. The fresh food compartment had lost its cooling ability while the freezer continued to maintain proper temperatures.
Diagnosis: This particular model has an evaporator and fan in the fridge compartment. During our inspection, we found the fan had failed. Without the evaporator fan running, cold air wasn’t circulating through the fresh food section.
Repair: Work: Replaced the failed evaporator fan · Parts: WR60X26866 — DC evaporator fan for fresh food compartment · Result: Fan operating correctly normal and symptoms resolved
Speed queen washer (AWN412SP111TW01) — Homeworth, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the washer filled up with water then it hums and won’t go to wash. The unit would complete the fill cycle but then fail to advance to the wash phase, leaving clothes sitting in water.
Diagnosis: The timer has failed. Upon inspection, we found corroded contacts within the timer mechanism that were preventing proper cycle advancement from fill to wash.
Repair: Work: We were able to spin the knob rapidly and break the corrosion loose on the contacts · Parts: No parts used on this service call · Result: The washer resumed normal operation and will work for a while
Maytag Washer; Dryer ; oven (CALORIC WALL OVEN. RWP212 DRYER NED4655EW1. WASHER) — Louisville, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their dryer had stopped heating but was still tumbling. Their washer was leaking significantly out of the bottom. The wall oven was not heating at all.
Diagnosis: On the dryer, we found a failed heating element that needed replacement. For the washer, we couldn’t find any actual leaks and determined it looked like it could be splashing over the top on max load. The wall oven had a broken igniter wire that was preventing heating.
Repair: Work: Installed new heating element on dryer, spliced together broken oven igniter wire · Parts: 279838 — heating element for dryer · Result: Dryer heating restored, oven heating but runs 80 to 100 degrees hotter than temperature dial (oven temperature sensor not available)
Whirlpool refrigerator — Louisville, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Whirlpool refrigerator was leaking water about once a week. The water would appear on the floor beneath the unit with no obvious source, making it difficult to predict or prevent.
Diagnosis: We found the evaporator tray on the bottom of the refrigerator had cracked. This caused the refrigerator to leak every time that it defrosted. During normal operation, condensation from the defrost cycle drains into this plastic tray where it evaporates. With the crack, water was escaping onto the floor instead.
Repair: Work: Replaced the cracked pan with a new evaporator tray · Parts: WPW10614158 — evaporator tray · Result: The unit is good to go with no more leaking
Frigidaire dryer (FAQE7001LW0) — Louisville, OH

Diagnosis: We found the freezer evaporator fan had failed completely. This fan is responsible for circulating cold air from the freezer compartment into the refrigerator section. When it stops working, the fridge loses cooling while the freezer continues to operate normally since it has its own cooling system.
Repair: Work: Replaced the freezer evaporator fan · Parts: 12002744 — freezer evaporator fan motor · Result: Refrigerator compartment returned to proper cooling temperatures
Admiral refrigerator (253.79252701) — North Canton, OH
