Repairs completed the week of June 16, 2025 across Akron, Alliance, Canton, Clinton, Diamond, East Rochester and more.
Admiral refrigerator (Gfe29hgdabb) — Akron, OH
Reported: The customer reported their refrigerator had a temperature imbalance — the freezer was holding at 0 degrees while the fridge section had climbed to 60 degrees. This temperature differential indicated an airflow issue between the compartments.
Diagnosis: The fresh food evaporator fan had failed. This fan is responsible for circulating cold air from the evaporator coils throughout the fresh food compartment, and without it running, the refrigerator section cannot maintain proper cooling temperatures.
Repair: Work: Replaced the failed evaporator fan · Parts: WR60X26866 — Fresh food evaporator fan · Result: The fridge is cooling properly after fan replacement
Kenmore oven/stove (790.73433310) — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the ignitor glows but oven won’t light. This is a classic symptom where the ignitor appears to be working but lacks the strength to open the gas valve and ignite the burner.
Diagnosis: We tested the ignitor and confirmed it was drawing insufficient current to properly open the safety valve. While it glowed, it couldn’t complete the ignition sequence, leaving the oven unable to heat.
Repair: Work: Replaced oven ignitor · Parts: 5304509706 — ignitor · Result: Stove is now lighting correctly
Admiral refrigerator — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the refrigerator is not working. The unit showed no signs of power or operation.

Repair: Work: Diagnosed power issue and coordinated with electrician · Parts: None required · Result: Electrical repair completed by electrician, refrigerator restored to operation
Maytag washer (MVWX700XW1) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the top won’t lock so can’t start washer. This is a common safety feature on modern washers — the lid must be securely locked before the wash cycle can begin.
Diagnosis: We tested the lid lock mechanism and confirmed it had failed internally. The locking assembly was no longer engaging properly, preventing the washer’s safety system from detecting a closed and locked lid.
Repair: Work: Replaced the lid lock · Parts: W10404050 — lid lock latch assembly · Result: Lid now locks securely and washer starts normally
Whirlpool washer (LSQ9211KQ0) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their washer will wash but won’t spin the water out. The machine would complete the wash portion of the cycle normally, but clothes remained saturated with water at the end.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed that the lid switch had failed and was not properly signaling that the lid was closed and locked. Additionally, the spring in the back of the tub had broken, which affected the tub’s ability to maintain proper positioning during the spin cycle.
Repair: Work: Replaced the lid switch and the spring in the back of the tub · Parts: 3949247V-SWITCH (lid switch), WPW10250667-SPRING (tub spring) · Result: Washer now completes full wash and spin cycles properly
GE refrigerator (GFE28GMKBES) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their fridge was not cooling. This is a serious issue that can lead to food spoilage and potential health concerns if not addressed quickly.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found that the fridge evaporator fan had failed. The evaporator fan is essential for proper refrigerator operation as it circulates cold air from the evaporator coils throughout the fresh food compartment. When this fan stops working, the refrigerator loses its ability to maintain proper temperatures.
Repair: Work: Replaced the failed evaporator fan · Parts: WR60X26866 — DC evaporator fan motor · Result: After replacing the fan, the fridge is cooling properly
KitchenAid dishwasher (KDFE104DBL3) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer contacted us after another repair company quoted an excessive fee just to show up at the house. Her KitchenAid dishwasher washes fine but it will not dry the dishes. It doesn’t seem like it is heating.
Diagnosis: I found that the dishwasher had an error code for the heater. The control board had flagged a heating system fault, which disabled the drying cycle as a safety precaution.
Repair: Work: Reset error codes in the control system · Parts: None required · Result: Dishwasher is heating and drying properly
GE refrigerator (PWE23KMKJES) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their fridge won’t change temps. No matter what temperature settings they selected on the control panel, the refrigerator wasn’t responding to the adjustments.
Diagnosis: The user interface had failed and the temp was adjusting by itself. This malfunction prevented the refrigerator from accepting manual temperature commands and caused unpredictable cooling behavior throughout the unit.
Repair: Work: I installed a new one · Parts: WR55X22124 — Control LH Door Side Assembly · Result: Temperature controls now respond properly to user input
Samsung washer (WA40j3000AW/AA) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that water would not extract and the machine wouldn’t run, though it was receiving power. They suspected the water pump was the culprit.
Diagnosis: We tested the drain pump and found it had 120 volts going to it but was not spinning. This confirmed the pump motor had failed internally, preventing both drainage and the wash cycle from completing.
Repair: Work: Replaced the drain pump · Parts: DC97-19289F — drain pump assembly · Result: The washer is operating correctly
Kenmore Dryer; refrigerator (MEDX5OOXW0 DRYER. 111.73309910) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer called about bearing noise in their Kenmore dryer. Additionally, their fridge was making loud humming noise and not as cold as it was. When they unplugged the fridge, the sound stopped.
Diagnosis: On the refrigerator, we found ice around the freezer evaporator fan causing the loud humming and reduced cooling efficiency. For the dryer, the bearing noise was actually coming from a bad idler pulley that had worn out.
Repair: Work: Cleared ice from freezer evaporator fan area; installed new idler pulley with bracket in dryer · Parts: W10837240 — Idler pulley with bracket · Result: Refrigerator returned to proper cooling temperatures without noise; dryer operates quietly
GE dryer (HTDX100ED2WW) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dryer was not heating. Clothes were tumbling normally but coming out wet at the end of the cycle, indicating the heating element wasn’t receiving power.
Diagnosis: We found the connector on the heating element had come off. This loose connection prevented electricity from reaching the element, so the dryer could only blow room-temperature air through the drum.
Repair: Work: Replaced connector and reinstalled, cleaned lint from behind drum · Parts: LAB-REPAIR APPLIANCE — connector · Result: Dryer now heats properly and cycles complete with dry clothes
GE washer (HSWP1000M4WW) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their 7-year-old GE washer washes fine but errors out on rinse and leaves water in the tub. This pattern indicated a drainage issue preventing the rinse cycle from completing properly.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed the drain pump running rough. A rough-running drain pump can’t maintain proper water flow during the rinse cycle, causing the washer to error out when it can’t drain the rinse water as programmed.
Repair: Work: Replaced drain pump · Parts: WH23X10043 — washing machine drain pump · Result: Washer completed full wash and rinse cycles without errors
Admiral refrigerator (FGHB2866PF3) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported water accumulating under beverage bin. This type of water pooling typically indicates an internal leak in the refrigerator’s water delivery system.
Diagnosis: Water tank leaking. We also found ice build up on back wall outside, which suggested additional cooling system issues that may be related to the water leak.
Repair: Work: Installed new water tank · Parts: 242220501 — Water Tank · Result: Recommended to call Frigidaire for a credit and advised that it may leak water
Admiral dryer (NOT SURE) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported having to dry things a couple times because the dryer wasn’t getting hot enough. Clothes were coming out damp after normal cycle times, forcing them to run additional cycles to achieve proper drying.
Diagnosis: We found lint plugging up the exhaust duct system. When dryer vents become blocked with lint buildup, airflow is severely restricted, preventing proper heat circulation and moisture removal. This forces the dryer to work harder while delivering poor results.
Repair: Work: Cleaned out lint blockage from duct system, checked rollers and idler for proper operation · Parts: None required · Result: Restored proper airflow and heat circulation for efficient single-cycle drying
Admiral washer (417.41122310) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer called because their Admiral washer will not spin. It starts the washing cycle like normal, but then won’t spin or drain. This left clothes sitting in standing water at the end of each cycle.
Diagnosis: During our inspection, we traced the drainage system and found an obstruction in the drain hose just upstream from the pump. This blockage prevented proper water evacuation, which also stopped the spin cycle from engaging.
Repair: Work: Removed obstruction in drain hose just upstream from pump · Parts: No parts required · Result: Symptoms are resolved — washer now spins and drains properly
LG washer (WT5101HV) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their LG washer was showing error code LE and would not complete wash cycles properly.

Repair: Work: Replaced the rotor position sensor (hall sensor) · Parts: 6501KW2002A — Sensor Assembly · Result: Wash machine is operating normally, and symptoms are resolved
GE refrigerator — Canton, OH
Reported: The refrigerator wouldn’t get cold and the freezer iced up so we quit using it. This combination of symptoms typically points to a defrost system failure.
Diagnosis: The defrost heat element has failed. When this component stops working, ice builds up on the evaporator coils, blocking airflow and preventing proper cooling in the refrigerator compartment.
Repair: Work: Replaced the failed defrost heat element · Parts: WR51X10101 — refrigerator defrost heater · Result: Replacing the heater resolved the issue
Samsung refrigerator (RSG257AARS/XAA) — Canton, OH
Reported: The homeowner reported that the ice dispenser won’t switch back and forth from cubes to crushed ice. They also noticed the water pressure is low. Both issues were affecting the refrigerator’s dispensing functions.
Diagnosis: The dispenser had quit closing properly. This allowed moist air to create frost buildup in the ice bin. The frosted ice bin was stuck in cube only. The faulty dispenser assembly was the root cause of both the switching problem and the reduced water pressure.
Repair: Work: Replaced the dispenser assembly and cleared the frost · Parts: DA97-06473B — Assembly Case-Ice Route · Result: The dispenser is operating correctly
Admiral dryer (Stackable GLET1142CS0) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dryer made a rumbling noise then quit spinning. The motor still runs but just doesn’t turn. They suspected the belt may have broke.
Diagnosis: We confirmed the dryer belt had failed, which explained why the motor continued running but couldn’t turn the drum. When dryer belts break, you’ll typically hear the motor running normally while the clothes tumble to the bottom and stay there.
Repair: Work: Replaced the belt · Parts: 134503600 — dryer belt · Result: Issue is resolved
Admiral dryer — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer called because their Admiral dryer heats but won’t spin. The unit would get hot but the drum remained stationary, leaving clothes wet and unwashed.
Diagnosis: We found the drive belt had broken and the idler pulley had failed. When the belt breaks or stretches beyond proper tension, the drum cannot rotate even though the heating element continues to function normally.
Repair: Work: Replaced the belt and idler · Parts: WE12X10014-BELT DRIVE, WE12X81-PULEY IDLKIT · Result: Dryer drum spins properly and cycles normally
Admiral oven/stove — Canton, OH

Admiral refrigerator (FRS20QRCD7) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported no coolness and the unit not pushing out air on both the freezer and fridge side. Both compartments had lost their cooling capacity completely.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed the refrigerator was not functioning properly, confirming the customer’s complaint about the lack of cooling and air circulation in both compartments.
Repair: Work: Service completed per repair notes · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Unit restored to proper operation
LG washer (WM3470HVA) — Clinton, OH
Reported: The customer called because their LG washer stops cycle before it spins and drains out. The machine would start normally but fail to progress through the complete wash sequence, leaving clothes sitting in water.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the cold water screen completely plugged. This blockage prevented adequate water flow into the machine, causing the washer’s control system to halt the cycle before reaching the spin and drain phases.
Repair: Work: Cleaned screen and ran speed wash · Parts: None required · Result: Back in service with normal cycle completion
Samsung refrigerator (RF4287HARS/XAA 01) — Diamond, OH
Reported: The display says off and it’s not cooling. The customer tried unplugging and resetting it and did not take care of the problem. All the food was removed. When it was operating correctly, it had water leaking and freezing under the freezer drawer.
Diagnosis: The fridge was set to show room mode, which explains why it displayed off and wasn’t cooling. This 2012 Korean-manufactured Samsung also had the known water leakage issue affecting this model series.
Repair: Work: Reset showroom mode and installed the leakage kit · Parts: DA82-01415A — Water Leakage Assembly · Result: Refrigerator returned to normal cooling operation with leak issue resolved

Repair: Work: Diagnostic evaluation of multiple Estate washers · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Issues identified for dairy barn washing machines
Kenmore dishwasher (66513204N411) — Hartville, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dishwasher was leaking. The leak wasn’t constant — it happened sporadically during operation, making it harder to pinpoint the source initially.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we discovered the top spray arm was cracked. This crack allowed water to spray outside the normal wash pattern, leading to the sporadic leaking the customer experienced.
Repair: Work: Replaced both spray arms · Parts: W10500354 and W10376693 — spray arms · Result: Dishwasher tested leak-free through complete wash cycle
Maytag washer (MVWB835DW0) — Hartville, OH

Amana washer (NTW4516FW3) — Homeworth, OH
Reported: The customer reported washing rugs as they had done before and wanted to do an extra rinse after the wash cycle was done. When they set it to rinse again, something malfunctioned in the spin cycle — it just made a humming sound like it couldn’t start. They scooped out most of the water and unplugged numerous times to retry, but the problem persisted.
Diagnosis: During our inspection of this Amana washer, we discovered the drain hose was plugged with rubber matting from the bottom of the rugs. This blockage prevented proper drainage, causing the spin cycle to fail as the machine couldn’t detect that water had been removed from the tub.
Repair: Work: Cleared rubber matting from drain hose · Parts: None required · Result: Washer operating correctly after clearing blockage
Maytag washer (LAT4000AAW) — Homeworth, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Maytag washer was leaking water. This is a common issue that can stem from several different components in the wash basket assembly.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found that the washer needs a seal and bearing kit. Though we noted that we’re not sure what else we would need when we get into it. There’s also concern that the tub could be rusted where the seal is located, which would complicate the repair.
Whirlpool Washer; dryer (LSN1000JQ0, LGN1000HQ1) — Lisbon, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their Whirlpool washer was leaking water from the front of unit when filling, and the dryer’s time dial would not advance and the dryer would continue to dry for hours without stopping. Both units were over 20 years old, but the customer wanted to keep them rather than replace them.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed a failed drain pump in the washer causing the front leakage during fill cycles. The dryer had a faulty timer that prevented proper cycle advancement, causing it to run indefinitely without moving through its programmed sequence.
Repair: Work: Replaced the timer on the dryer and the drain pump in the washer · Parts: WP3363394 — water pump, WP3976570 — timer · Result: Both units returned to proper operation with no leaks and normal cycle timing

Repair: Work: Replaced with the kit that includes the two support rollers and belt tension pulley · Parts: 4392065-REPAIR-DYR — repair kit that includes the two support rollers and belt tension pulley · Result: Issue is resolved and operation is normal
Maytag refrigerator (MFF2558VEB) — Louisville, OH
Reported: The customer reported water leaking into the freezer compartment of their Maytag French door refrigerator. Ice was forming in areas where it normally wouldn’t appear. This symptom pointed directly to a defrost drain issue — a common problem when the drainage system can’t handle melted frost properly.
Diagnosis: The defrost drain was completely plugged. When the drain gets blocked, melted frost and ice from the evaporator coils can’t flow to the drain pan underneath the refrigerator. Instead, the water backs up and finds its way into the freezer compartment, where it refreezes and creates the ice buildup the customer was seeing.
Repair: Work: Cleared the plugged drain and installed the updated drain tube · Parts: W10619951 — drain tube · Result: Water now flows properly to the drain pan without backing up into the freezer
Whirlpool dryer (LER8858EQ2) — Malvern, OH

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the four support rollers were worn and the idler pulley was also failing. These components work together to support and guide the drum’s rotation, and when they wear out, metal-on-metal contact creates the characteristic squealing sound.
Repair: Work: Replaced the four support rollers, idler pulley and belt · Parts: 4392067 — four support rollers, idler pulley and belt · Result: Dryer operates quietly with smooth drum rotation
Admiral dishwasher (GLDB957AQ2) — Minerva, OH

Reported: The customer reported their Amana refrigerator’s ice maker was dripping and creates ice with debris. This made the ice unusable and created a mess in the freezer compartment.
Diagnosis: We found the lining was flaking off of the old ice maker and the water was leaking out. The deteriorating internal coating was contaminating the ice while the water leaks created the dripping issue.

Frigidaire washer (FEX831SF0) — North Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their washer doesn’t work at all and dryer isn’t heating. Both appliances had stopped functioning completely, suggesting an electrical issue rather than individual appliance failures.
Diagnosis: The outlet in the wall had a loose wire in it. The red one was totally loose. This was a definite problem with the apartment wiring, not with the appliance.
Repair: Work: Connected the loose red wire in the wall outlet · Parts: None · Result: The Dryer and Washer are operating correctly
GE refrigerator (GSS22SGMD BS) — North Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their GE refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling. Water and ice does not dispense, though the inside lights still work normally.
Diagnosis: During our inspection, we found the control board was noticeably burnt out. This explained why the refrigerator lost cooling function and the water/ice dispenser stopped working, while the lighting circuit remained operational on a separate system.
Repair: Work: None — customer opted to not repair the unit · Result: No repair completed
Speed queen dryer (ADG3LRGS111TWO1) — Orrville, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Speed Queen dryer smells hot and makes a noise when under a load. These symptoms typically point to drum support issues that create excessive friction during operation.
Diagnosis: We found the rear support rollers had worn out. When these rollers fail, the dryer drum doesn’t rotate smoothly, causing it to wobble and rub against other components. This creates both the noise and the hot smell from friction heat.
Repair: Work: Replaced the rear support rollers using the complete kit that includes the two rollers, shafts, washers, and lock rings · Parts: RB170002-KIT — rear support roller kit for 1992 and newer Speed Queen models · Result: Dryer runs quietly without overheating or unusual odors
Frigidaire range/cooktop (PLGFMZ98GCA) — Salem, OH
Reported: The customer reported they could smell natural gas when they use the oven or stove. This understandably raised safety concerns about a possible gas leak in their kitchen.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed the oven lit in 45 seconds, which shows the igniter is good — if it takes more than a minute and half it could be weak. The oven preheated in 8.5 minutes and when shut off, completely went out. The oven appears to be operating correctly. The smell from the oven is typical of natural gas ovens when in use.
Repair: Work: System inspection and performance testing · Parts: None required · Result: Unit operating normally; recommended installing a carbon monoxide alarm as a precaution
Maytag dryer (MED7500YW) — Sebring, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Maytag dryer had no heat. The unit would run through its cycles normally but clothes came out completely wet and cold after a full drying cycle.
Diagnosis: Testing confirmed the heating element had burned out. This is the component that generates the hot air needed for drying clothes. When heating elements fail, the dryer runs but produces no heat whatsoever.
Repair: Work: Heating element replacement
Frigidaire dryer (FEX831FS2) — Stow, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dryer would run but will not heat/dry. The unit was going through its cycles normally but clothes remained wet and cold at the end of each load.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed the cycling thermostat has failed. This component regulates the dryer’s heat cycles and prevents overheating by cycling the heating element on and off as needed.
Repair: Work: Diagnosed failed cycling thermostat and provided part number for customer purchase and replacement · Result: Customer received part number to source replacement component

Admiral dishwasher (FFBD2412SW0A) — Uniontown, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Admiral dishwasher was not filling with water. When they pressed start, nothing happened — no water inlet, no cycle initiation.
Diagnosis: We found the door switch not making good connection. This safety switch tells the dishwasher when the door is properly closed and latched, allowing the fill cycle to begin. Without a proper connection, the control board won’t activate the water inlet valve.
Repair: Work: Replaced door switch · Parts: 5304527418 — Latch Assembly Door · Result: Dishwasher now fills with water and cycles normally
