Repairs completed the week of November 17, 2025 across Akron, Alliance, Canton, Carrollton, Dover, East Canton and more.
Kenmore refrigerator — Akron, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their refrigerator’s icemaker supply line repeatedly froze. This created an ongoing cycle where ice production would stop whenever the line iced over, requiring manual defrosting to restore function.
Diagnosis: We found the original icemaker supply line was vulnerable to freezing due to its positioning and design. This is a known issue with certain Kenmore French door models where the supply line lacks adequate insulation or proper routing to prevent ice formation.
Repair: Work: Replace the icemaker supply line with the updated Frigidaire version · Parts: 241920106 — fill tube kit (updated Frigidaire version) · Result: Ice maker supply line no longer susceptible to freeze-ups
Kenmore refrigerator (253.7034341D) — Akron, OH
Reported: The ice maker quit making ice again, despite our previous repair just over a year ago. The customer was understandably frustrated with the repeat failure of what should have been a long-lasting repair.
Diagnosis: We discovered the water valve had failed again, along with issues in the ice maker water line that required steaming to clear. Given that we had replaced this same valve just over a year ago, this was an unusually early failure for this component.
Repair: Work: Replaced the water valve and steamed the ice maker water line · Parts: 242252702 — valve solenoid triple · Result: Ice maker restored to proper operation with clear water flow
Admiral refrigerator (GTS18XCSARWW) — Akron, OH
Reported: The customer reported their refrigerator won’t stay cold. This is a common symptom when the evaporator fan stops working, as cold air can’t circulate properly through the refrigerator compartment.
Diagnosis: During inspection, we found the evaporator fan not running to circulate air through fridge. The fan motor had completely failed, which explains why the refrigerator compartment couldn’t maintain proper temperatures despite the compressor running normally.
Repair: Work: Replaced evaporator fan motor with expedited shipping for quick turnaround · Parts: WR60X23584 — AC/DC evaporator fan motor · Result: Fan now runs properly to circulate cold air throughout the refrigerator
Frigidaire washer (FTF530FS1) — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the tub won’t drain. They had taken things apart and for the most part emptied the coin catcher but couldn’t get it out of the rubber tube. This left standing water in the washer tub after each cycle.
Diagnosis: Our inspection confirmed the drain pump had failed. While the customer had made progress clearing the coin catcher, the underlying issue was a faulty drain pump that could no longer effectively remove water from the tub. The pump motor had stopped functioning, preventing proper drainage regardless of any blockage removal.
Repair: Work: Replaced drain pump · Parts: 137108000 — drain pump · Result: Washer now drains completely after each cycle
LG dryer (DLEX2501W) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their DLEX2501W was running full cycles but leaving laundry damp. No heat was coming from the exhaust vent, though the drum rotated and the control panel responded normally. They’d already checked the lint filter and verified the breaker hadn’t tripped.
Diagnosis: We found the dryer receiving proper line voltage with clear airflow through the vent system. Testing the heating element with a multimeter showed it was completely open — no continuity across the terminals. The element had failed internally, preventing any heat generation during the dry cycle.
Repair: Work: Removed rear panel, disconnected failed element, installed new heater assembly · Parts: 5301EL1001S — heating element assembly · Result: Heat restored immediately, verified proper operation through complete test cycle
Whirlpool dryer (MEDE500VW1) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported loud noise during dryer operation. The unit was still running but creating disruptive sounds that indicated internal component failure.
Diagnosis: Disassembly revealed a failed idler pulley and worn drum belt. The failed idler pulley was no longer maintaining proper tension, causing the worn belt to slip and create the loud operational noise.
Repair: Work: Replaced idler pulley and drum belt, cleared lint and debris from base area · Parts: W10837240 — idler, 661570V — belt · Result: Verified smooth drum rotation and proper operation. Unit now runs quietly and normally.
GE refrigerator (TFX20JAXFAA) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported icing up in freezer with the fresh food section running warm. This combination of symptoms typically points to a defrost system failure that prevents proper heat circulation.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed the defrost heater had failed completely. Without the heater functioning during defrost cycles, ice buildup was blocking airflow between the freezer and fresh food compartments, causing the refrigerator section to warm up while the freezer accumulated excessive frost.
Repair: Work: Replaced defrost heater · Parts: WR51X442 — defrost heater harness · Result: Good to go
Samsung washer (WA45M7050AW/A4) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Samsung washer was showing a 4c error code and not spinning out properly during the wash cycle.
Diagnosis: The 4c error code on Samsung washers typically indicates a water supply issue. Our inspection revealed the water valve had failed, preventing proper water flow control during the wash and spin cycles.
Repair: Work: Replaced water valve · Parts: DC97-15459HCM — valve · Result: Good to go
Samsung dishwasher (DMT400RHS) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer called because their Samsung dishwasher started leaking again last night in the same area where we had previously fixed a leak 3-4 weeks ago. They needed the issue resolved ASAP since the dishwasher had been working great until the leak returned.
Diagnosis: The dishwasher was leaking in a similar fashion as to what it was before. However, I was unable to replicate the leak while I was in the home during this service call.
Repair: Work: Replaced the part under warranty and sealed up any conspicuous spot with silicone · Parts: DD94-01045A — Assembly Case Vent · Result: No charge to customer for this warranty repair
Whirlpool dishwasher (WDT720PADM2) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer called about their Whirlpool dishwasher because dishes were not drying after wash cycles. They suspected the heating element had failed and needed replacement.
Diagnosis: We ran the unit through its diagnostic cycle and found error codes stored in the control system. The heating element itself was functioning properly — the dishwasher just needed the error codes cleared to resume normal drying operation.
Repair: Work: Cleared the error codes and successfully operated diagnostic cycle · Parts: None · Result: Good to go with 30 day guarantee on service call
Frigidaire refrigerator (FRT18B5JB1) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Frigidaire refrigerator won’t turn on. This was a brand new fridge in basement that had completely failed to operate.

Repair: Work: Service call diagnosis and repair · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Customer will advise if it crops up again
JennAir stove (JES8850BAS) — Canton, OH
Reported: The inner eye on the front right stove burner did not work. The rest of the burner was fine, but that inner heating element had completely failed.
Diagnosis: The element assembly had failed. During the repair, we discovered that a previous repair company had used plastic wire bus on a connection in a high heat area. This caused them to melt, creating both the current problem and a potential safety hazard.
Repair: Work: Replaced the burner, repaired the melted connections, and installed a fiberglass insulation sleeve over the wire · Parts: W10823718 — surface element assembly · Result: Operations checked — issue is resolved and operation is normal
LG washer (WM317OCW) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer contacted us because items are still wet when spin is complete. The washer’s dashboard was showing an OE error code, which typically indicates a drainage problem preventing the spin cycle from removing water effectively.
Diagnosis: During our inspection of the LG WM317OCW, we found that the drain pump was obstructed. This blockage prevented proper water removal during the spin cycle, causing clothes to remain wet and triggering the OE error code on the display.
Repair: Work: Cleared the obstruction from the drain pump · Parts: No parts were needed for this repair · Result: The washer is now draining and spinning correctly
Maytag washer (MVWX6550DW0) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Maytag washer was not spinning. This meant clothes were staying soaking wet at the end of wash cycles, making the appliance essentially unusable for completing laundry.
Diagnosis: I found the drain holes in the bottom of the spin basket completely plugged with coins and lint. This kept the basket from draining. This in turn caused the spin basket hub to strip out. The blockage prevented water from draining properly during the spin cycle, putting excessive stress on the hub mechanism until it failed.
Repair: Work: Cleared the holes on the basket and installed a new hub. Also re calibrated the unit. · Parts: W10902814 — Wash Plate, W10528947 — HUB · Result: Operation is normal. When I left it was running a wash/clean cycle.
JennAir Oven/stove; gas range (CCG2423B) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their gas range was slow to turn on and clicked constantly on occasion when the knobs are turned. It appears to be when it is lower heat.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, several of the burner caps were loose. Loose burner caps prevent proper gas flow and ignition, causing delayed lighting and excessive clicking from the igniter.
Repair: Work: Tightened and readjusted the burner caps · Parts: None required · Result: Issue is resolved and operation is normal
Whirlpool oven/stove (WFE540H0AE0) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the oven was not heating correctly nor holding any kind of accurate temperature. This type of heating issue typically points to a problem with one of the oven’s heating elements.
Diagnosis: During our inspection of the Whirlpool WFE540H0AE0, we found that the bake element had failed. A failed bake element prevents the oven from generating sufficient heat and maintaining consistent temperatures throughout the cooking cycle.
Repair: Work: Replaced the failed bake element with a new one · Parts: W10779716 — bake element · Result: The stove is heating and cycling correctly
Maytag washer (MVWC565F) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Maytag washer goes through too many cycles at one time and then starts shaking. The unit will not drain properly during operation.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the drive hub and transmission shaft are stripped. This type of damage indicates significant wear to the washer’s core mechanical components that transfer power from the motor to the wash basket.
Samsung dryer (DV40J3000EW/A2) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Samsung dryer was not getting hot enough to dry. They had already tried cleaning the vents, replacing thermal fuse and thermostat, but still no heat was being produced.
Diagnosis: After testing the dryer’s heating system, we found the heating element was bad. The customer’s previous troubleshooting efforts with the thermal fuse and thermostat were logical steps, but the root cause was the failed heating element itself.
Repair: Work: Installed customer-supplied heating element · Parts: LAB-REPAIR APPLIANCE — heating element · Result: Dryer now produces proper heat for drying
Frigidaire refrigerator (FFTR1821QS1) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the freezer isn’t freezing and the fridge doesn’t seem cold either. This is a classic symptom of airflow issues that prevent proper cooling throughout the refrigerator compartments.
Diagnosis: The condenser fan connection was loose. It appears to have been this way since the factory. The customer recently had a floor installed and it could be that it was jostled and worked loose even more in that time.
Repair: Work: Plugged in the loose condenser fan connection · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Everything seems to be functioning properly
Whirlpool dryer (WET3300XQ2) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dryer makes a screeching sound when running. The noise was loud enough to be heard throughout the house during operation.
Diagnosis: We inspected the drum assembly and belt system. The idler pulley showed signs of wear and was the source of the screeching noise during belt rotation.
Repair: Work: Replaced idler pulley for belt · Parts: 279640-PULLEY-IDR — idler pulley for belt · Result: Dryer runs quietly without screeching sounds
KitchenAid Oven/stove; dishwasher (Selectra) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their KitchenAid Selectra oven was showing an F3 error and they could not use the oven. They also had a new Samsung dishwasher that needed installation.
Diagnosis: The F3 error code on this KitchenAid oven indicated a temperature sensor failure. This sensor monitors oven temperature and sends readings to the control board – when it fails, the oven shuts down as a safety measure.
Repair: Work: Replaced temperature sensor on oven, installed new Samsung dishwasher with supply hose and fittings · Parts: WP8053344 — temperature sensor · Result: F3 error resolved, oven operation restored, dishwasher operation normal
KitchenAid fridge (KFIV29PCMS01) — Canton, OH

Repair: Work: Diagnostic inspection of ice maker operation · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Ice maker confirmed making ice sporadically; customer advised to contact Whirlpool for further repair if necessary
GE dryer (GFDR480EF0WW) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their GE dryer was making a sound like the belt is broken. This type of noise usually indicates mechanical wear in the drum support system.
Diagnosis: When taking apart the dryer, we found the drum roller is bad. Additionally, the control board was burnt and needs replacement along with the wire harness. Multiple system failures were present in this unit.
Whirlpool dishwasher (DU1148XTPB9) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that lights keep flashing on their dishwasher. They had researched and did the reset then also turned off the power to it. Nothing is working for a reset and now the dishwasher won’t even run.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed the unit needs a control board. The flashing lights and complete failure to operate after attempted resets pointed directly to control board failure — a common issue on this model when the electronic controls malfunction.
Amana refrigerator (SXD25AL) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Amana refrigerator was not making ice. The ice maker had stopped producing ice entirely, leaving them without this essential function.
Diagnosis: Our inspection confirmed the ice maker assembly had failed. The unit was no longer cycling properly and could not produce ice, requiring a complete ice maker replacement.
Repair: Work: Replaced ice maker · Parts: D7824706Q — ice maker assembly · Result: Ice maker restored to full operation
Whirlpool dishwasher (WDF730PAYW4) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Whirlpool dishwasher leaking water from underneath across floor. Water was pooling beneath the unit and spreading across the kitchen floor after each wash cycle.
Diagnosis: Upper spray arm was caught and spraying on door seal. Both upper and lower spray arms were split, causing improper water distribution and allowing water to escape the wash chamber.
Repair: Work: Replaced both spray arms · Parts: WPW10491331 — upper spray arm, WPW10498900 — lower spray arm · Result: Dishwasher now operates without leaking, proper water spray pattern restored
LG Washer; refrigerator (WM3470HWA) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported they needed to replace the rubber gasket around the front door of their LG washer because it was covered with mold. They also wanted the vibration corrected during the spin cycle. Additionally, they requested cleaning of their Whirlpool refrigerator coils and wanted the power cord checked on the refrigerator.
Diagnosis: The LG washer’s door boot was indeed heavily contaminated with mold, requiring complete replacement. We also identified issues with the Whirlpool refrigerator’s condenser coils and a problem with the water connection to the rear of the unit that needed repair.

Whirlpool washer (WTW5000DW1) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The Whirlpool washer will not go past spin cycle. The machine was stopping at this point in the wash cycle and would not complete its program.
Diagnosis: We found a lid lock error causing the cycle interruption. The safety system was detecting an issue with the lid lock mechanism, which prevents the washer from entering the high-speed spin cycle when not properly secured.
Repair: Work: Reassembled machine and checked lock connections · Parts: No parts required · Result: Machine is operating correctly and successfully passed the diagnostic cycle
Kenmore oven/stove (36275324101) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that it seems like the oven lights but it won’t preheat. The igniter would glow, giving the appearance that everything was working normally, but the oven remained cold and never reached the set temperature.
Diagnosis: We tested the igniter’s amperage draw and found it was only pulling 2.5 amps instead of the required 3.3 amps. While the igniter appeared to be working because it glowed orange, it wasn’t drawing sufficient current to signal the gas valve to open. This is a classic failure mode for oven igniters as they age and weaken.
Repair: Work: Replaced the failed igniter with new OEM part · Parts: WB13K21 — igniter oven · Result: Oven preheated in 8.5 minutes and is operating correctly
Admiral washer (wcvh6800j2ww) — Dover, OH
Reported: The customer reported their washer was making a loud grating noise during the spin cycle. They also noticed the time remaining display fluctuating with different times throughout the wash.
Diagnosis: It appeared the drum support was broken. This is the component that keeps the wash tub stable during high-speed spin cycles. When it fails, you get that characteristic grinding sound as metal rubs against metal, and the vibration can affect the control board’s timing calculations.
Repair: Work: Diagnostic only · Parts: None — part no longer available · Result: Customer chose to replace washer instead
Frigidaire dryer (FEZ831AS2) — East Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that grease is leaking into the drum. This created a messy situation where clean clothes were getting contaminated during the drying cycle.
Diagnosis: The transmission had failed and was leaking oil into the spin basket. A failed transmission seal allows the internal lubricating oil to escape into areas where it doesn’t belong, contaminating the drum where clothes are dried.
Repair: Work: I replaced the transmission and the tub seal · Parts: 134736400-H+ TRANSMISSION, 5303279394-SEAL · Result: Issue is resolved and the washer is good to go
Whirlpool stove (GGG388LXS00) — Green, OH

Reported: The customer reported that two burner knobs were slipping and couldn’t turn the burners off completely. One had been problematic since near the warranty period, and the second had recently failed. The knobs would turn but wouldn’t engage the valve stems to stop gas flow.
Diagnosis: Inspection revealed worn and stripped gas valve stems in the front manifold assembly. The flat surfaces on the valve stems had rounded off from wear, preventing the control knobs from gripping and turning the valves. This created an unsafe condition where burners couldn’t be reliably shut off. The rear burner controls were also showing early signs of similar wear.
Repair: Work: Removed old manifold, installed new assembly, reconnected gas lines and electrical connections · Parts: WPW10204706 — front manifold assembly with four new gas valves and wiring harness · Result: All burners now engage and shut off properly with smooth, positive knob operation; passed gas leak safety check

Electrolux washer (EFLS527UTT2) — Louisville, OH
Reported: The customer reported distinct clicking sounds coming from inside the washer drum during operation. The noise was most noticeable during the spin cycle when the basket reaches higher RPMs. This type of mechanical clicking typically points to loose or worn internal components that handle the drum’s rotation and suspension.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed the basket pulley had worked loose from its mounting, allowing excessive movement that created the clicking sound. The shock absorbers were also showing signs of wear and producing noise during drum movement. These components work together to stabilize the wash basket — when one fails, it puts additional stress on the others.
Repair: Work: Complete diagnostic evaluation and documentation · Result: Customer’s extended warranty will cover the necessary repairs
Samsung washer (WA45T3200AW) — Louisville, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Samsung washer won’t drain. Water remained in the tub after wash cycles, preventing the spin cycle from completing properly.

Repair: Work: Replaced the drain pump · Parts: DC97-19289f — Drain Pump · Result: Tests good with no leaks
Samsung refrigerator (RS27T5200SR) — Louisville, OH
Reported: The customer reported leaking water from fridge. Water was present where it shouldn’t be, indicating a supply line issue within the refrigerator’s water system.
