GE dryer (GTD33EASK0WW) — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported their GE dryer won’t turn on. No matter what they tried, the unit remained completely unresponsive.
Diagnosis: We found the timer knob split. When a timer knob cracks or splits, it can’t properly engage the timer mechanism, leaving the dryer unable to start any cycle.
Repair: Work: Replaced timer knob · Parts: WE01X24552 — Knob · Result: Good to go!
GE washer (WCCB1030J2WC) — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported that when lid is closed, drum oscillates slowly. This wasn’t normal wash agitation — the drum was moving in an irregular, slow pattern that prevented proper washing cycles. Another repair company had already attempted to fix this issue by replacing the mode shifter, but the washer was still malfunctioning.
Diagnosis: The Motor Control Board which is mounted on the motor assembly, had failed. This prevented the wash machine from spinning properly. The failed control board was sending incorrect signals to the motor, causing the abnormal drum oscillation instead of proper wash and spin cycles.
Repair: Work: Installed a new motor assembly with integrated control board · Parts: WH20X10055 — MOTOR/INVERTER – E/M · Result: After we installed a new motor, it is operating and cycling correctly
Samsung dryer (DV409AEW/XAA) — Bolivar, OH
Reported: The customer contacted us because their Samsung dryer runs but air is not heated. The drum would turn and the unit operated normally, but clothes weren’t drying because no heat was being produced during the cycle.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed the heat element had failed. When a dryer heating element burns out, the unit will continue to run through its cycles but cannot generate the hot air needed to dry clothes effectively.
Repair: Work: Installed a new heat element assembly and replaced the idler pulley · Parts: DC97-14486A — Assembly Duct Heater, DC93-00634A — Idler Pulley · Result: Issue is resolved and dryer is good to go
GE refrigerator (GYE18JSLGFSS) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the freezer was making clanking noise as fan runs, and seemed to drop temp a little bit last night. They opened the freezer this morning and temp seemed to be fine, but was still making clanking noise.
Diagnosis: The unit was making grinding noise. I found heavy frost buildup on the evaporator coil for the freezer. Frost indicative of the freezer door possibly having been left open. The fridge and freezer temps are currently good.
Repair: Work: Verified proper defrost function while unit was in defrost cycle · Parts: None — no parts needed · Result: Door was left cracked open for a couple hours which caused excessive frost buildup on evaporator — everything looks good currently

Samsung dryer (DV218AEW/XAA) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer called because their Samsung dryer does not heat. It runs OK, just not heating up. The drum would tumble and the cycle would complete, but clothes came out still damp and cold.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the heat element in the tension pulley had failed. Additionally, a large amount of lint had accumulated in the cavity of the dryer, which can restrict airflow and cause heating elements to overheat and burn out prematurely.
Repair: Work: Replaced the heat element in the tension pulley and cleaned a large amount of lint from the cavity of the dryer · Parts: DC97-14486A — Assembly Duct Heater, DC93-00634A — Idler Pulley · Result: Function is normal and symptoms are resolved
LG dryer (DLE7100W) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer had their new LG DLE7100W dryer delivered but Best Buy would not install it because they needed custom venting. Their current dryer had a right side vent configuration, while the new LG dryer came with a rear vent setup.
Diagnosis: This wasn’t a repair issue but rather a venting configuration mismatch. The existing laundry room setup was designed for side venting, but the new dryer’s factory configuration only allowed for rear exhaust. A side vent modification would be needed to make the new dryer compatible with the existing ductwork.
Repair: Work: Installed side vent in new dryer · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Dryer properly connected to existing side vent ductwork
Whirlpool washer (COIN OPERATED) — Canton, OH
Reported: The washer was making a humming noise and it sounded like the agitator was not moving. No indicator lights were on, leaving the customer unsure what was happening.
Diagnosis: The washer had no water supply. It had been run on a hot wash and generated a flood error code, which explained the symptoms the customer was experiencing.
Repair: Work: Let the washer run for 10 minutes and reset the system · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Unit returned to normal operation
Amana refrigerator ((P) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer contacted us because their Amana refrigerator had temperature control issues. The motor does not turn on and off properly, which was causing the refrigerator to be too cold or too warm throughout different cycles.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found that both the cold control and damper systems had failed, preventing proper temperature regulation and airflow control within the refrigerator compartment.
Repair: Work: Replaced the cold control and damper on the fridge, installed new control board and igniter on the oven · Parts: WP12571701 control board, WP67005335 electronic control, 5304510580 clock, cold control, and damper · Result: Temperature regulation restored, refrigerator operating properly

Amana refrigerator (ABB2222FEB2) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that both the fridge and freezer compartment were not getting cold. This is typically a compressor or electrical issue when both compartments fail simultaneously.
Diagnosis: During inspection, we discovered the start relay had failed. This small but critical component helps the compressor motor start up each cooling cycle. We also found the defrost drain pan was cracked and leaking water, which needed replacement to prevent water damage.
Repair: Work: Installed new start relay and replaced the leaking defrost drain pan · Parts: WPW10197426 start relay, WPW10655367 defrost drain pan · Result: Refrigerator cycling properly with both compartments cooling effectively
KitchenAid dishwasher (KUDS25SHAL1) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported leaking water out of bottom front and thought it may be the seal. They did not do any trouble shooting before calling for service.
Diagnosis: The spray funnel on the top rack had become dislodged and water was being forced out of the front of the door. This created the appearance of a door seal leak when the actual issue was with the displaced spray tube in the upper rack assembly.
Repair: Work: We replaced both racks which also took care of the displaced tube · Parts: WPW10253040 — upper dishrack, W10134647 — lower dishrack · Result: Water leak eliminated with proper rack positioning and spray funnel alignment

Reported: The customer reported their Speed Queen dryer won’t heat up. The unit was running through cycles but clothes came out damp and cold.

GE refrigerator (PWE23KMKSES) — Magnolia, OH
Reported: The customer contacted us about their General Electric fridge that came with a house purchased at an estate auction. The unit had sat empty for a year and just won’t get colder than 64 degrees no matter what settings they tried.
Diagnosis: Our inspection of the PWE23KMKSES revealed a sealed system failure. When a refrigerator’s sealed system fails, the compressor, evaporator, or refrigerant lines have developed internal problems that prevent proper cooling. This typically occurs after extended periods of non-use, especially in units that weren’t properly prepared for storage.
Repair: Work: Sealed system failure diagnosed · Parts: No parts replaced · Result: Customer advised to replace unit
Samsung refrigerator (RT21M6213SR/AA) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The freezer door was dented by a service company, creating a small dent that affected the door’s appearance and potentially its seal. The customer sent a photo showing the damage and waited for insurance approval before proceeding with the repair.
Diagnosis: The freezer door sustained damage that required complete replacement rather than repair. The dent compromised the door’s integrity, making replacement the most effective solution to restore the refrigerator’s proper function and appearance.
Repair: Work: Replaced the top door on Samsung fridge · Parts: DA91-04694B — Assembly Door Foam-Freezer · Result: Freezer door restored to original condition with proper seal and appearance
GE refrigerator (RB735G0J5AD) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The customer called because the oven doesn’t get hot when she turns dial to bake. It only works when put on broil which doesn’t fully cook certain recipes because broil toasts the top.
Diagnosis: Our technician diagnosed the issue and determined the root cause of the baking function failure.
Repair: Work: Repair completed and invoice processed · Parts: No parts were needed for this repair · Result: Oven baking function restored to proper operation
KitchenAid oven/stove (KOCE500ESS04) — Minerva, OH
Reported: The customer reported that oven temperatures vary 25 to 50 degrees. They could set temp for 350 and get 325 or 375, or set it for 450 and get 400. The wall oven has both conventional and convection modes and is about 2 1/2 years old.
Diagnosis: Temperature inconsistencies in KitchenAid ovens often trace back to control calibration issues or failing temperature sensors. In this case, the oven control’s temperature offset needed adjustment to bring readings back into proper range.
Repair: Work: Adjusted offset in oven control · Parts: No parts required · Result: Quoted new board kit with convection fan replacement for future consideration
Frigidaire range (FEB24S5ABB) — North Canton, OH

Kenmore dryer (110. 97121100) — North Canton, OH
Reported: The drum doesn’t spin when I turn the dryer on although it spins freely when the dryer is off. Motor sounds normal. The customer was guessing it’s a belt or something like that.
Diagnosis: Runs but won’t spin. Found belt broken. When a dryer drum spins freely by hand but won’t turn under power, a broken drive belt is the most likely culprit on this Kenmore model.
Repair: Work: Replaced belt using maintenance kit. Replaced gas valve coil packs. · Parts: 4392065 — DRYER MAINTAINENCE KIT, 279834 — COIL KIT · Result: Good to go.
Electrolux Oven/stove; microwave (EW30GF65GSH and E130BM60MSA) — North Canton, OH
Reported: The customer experienced a strong gas smell with the oven when first heating up. They also hadn’t used the microwave since moving in because of how bad it smells when used, wondering if it was installed for an exterior exhaust but they don’t have an exterior exhaust.
Diagnosis: Testing showed the oven was drawing 3.3 amps with ignition taking 26 seconds and preheat completing in 10 minutes. The extended ignition time was allowing gas to accumulate before lighting, creating the strong smell the customer noticed.
Repair: Work: Installed new ignitor assembly · Parts: 316489403 — ignitor · Result: Proper ignition timing restored, eliminating gas odor during startup

The dryer’s damaged tub made replacement the most practical solution.
