A Frigidaire range at a home on 17th Street Northwest in Canton, OH needed attention after the customer reported an issue with the electrical cord connection. Samuel visited the home and found that the terminal block had overheated and shorted against the stove housing, requiring replacement of the terminal block and main wiring harness. The repair was completed using a new terminal block kit and wiring harness, restoring the range to proper working order.

The Repair
The terminal block connection on the oven overheated from a loose connection. It then came loose and shorted against the stove housing. We had to replace the terminal block and power harness. This is typically caused by a poor install. If the terminal connectors fastening the wire are not tightened properly it will overheat and cause this type of damage.
