Diagnosis: With the top panel removed, the issue was immediately visible. The drive belt had snapped and was lying in pieces at the bottom of the cabinet. The idler pulley assembly showed significant wear, and both front drum bearing slides were worn down to bare metal. When the belt finally broke under tension, it likely took out the already-deteriorating idler components.
Repair: Work: Removed drum, installed new belt routing, replaced worn idler assembly and front bearings · Parts: WE03X29897 drive belt, WE12X20395 idler pulley, WE3M51 and WE3M52 bearing slides · Result: Full cycle test confirmed proper drum rotation, heating, and smooth operation
Frigidaire dishwasher (LFID2426TF2A) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The customer reported their LFID2426TF2A dishwasher would not run at all, with various lights flashing on the control panel. The unit was completely unresponsive to button presses. Resetting the circuit breaker had no effect on the malfunction.
Diagnosis: The flashing light pattern indicated an internal control board failure. The UI board on this Frigidaire model handles all user inputs and communicates with the main control board. When it fails, the dishwasher loses the ability to interpret commands or properly sequence wash cycles. Testing confirmed the board had no power output to critical components.
Repair: Work: Removed failed control panel, installed new UI board, reconnected all wiring harnesses · Parts: 5304518467 — UI board switch assembly · Result: All functions restored, normal cycle operation verified
Amana dryer (LG8219W2) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dryer would start and run through cycles normally, but clothes came out damp and cold. The drum was turning and the control panel was responsive, but no heat was being generated during operation.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed the gas valve coil packs had failed. These electromagnetic coils control gas flow to the burner assembly — when they fail, the safety system prevents gas from reaching the igniter. The dryer runs normally but can’t produce heat, leaving clothes wet after full cycles.
Repair: Work: Disconnected gas line, removed old coil packs, installed new assembly, reconnected and tested · Parts: 279834 — gas valve coil pack assembly · Result: Burner ignited properly, dryer reached full operating temperature
