Reported: The customer reported their dryer would run through complete cycles but clothes came out still damp. The drum was turning normally and the unit wasn’t throwing any error codes, but no heat was being generated during operation.

Diagnosis: Testing revealed the heating element assembly had an open circuit — a common failure point in Samsung dryers where the coiled element burns out from repeated thermal cycling. The belt idler pulley also showed excessive wear and play, which can cause belt slippage and reduced airflow that contributes to heating element stress.

Repair: Work: Removed rear panel, disconnected heating element wiring, installed new assembly and idler pulley, reassembled unit · Parts: DC97-14486A (heating element assembly), DC93-00634A (belt idler pulley) · Result: Dryer now reaches proper operating temperatures and completes cycles with fully dried clothes
