Reported: You replaced a thermostat I believe. It’s starting to lose temperature as I bake. Not holding set temperature.

Frigidaire refrigerator (GLRT183TDQ8) — Alliance, OH

Reported: It hasn’t been cold now it has no lights and it is plugged in.

GE range (JBS86SP1SS) — Alliance, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the temperature was off and not heating up as it should, running 25 degrees below the set point. They had attempted to reset the unit per the manual instructions but the issue persisted.

Diagnosis: We tested both bake and broil elements in both compartments — all tested good. The temperature sensors measured within specification. During extended testing, the unit cycled right at 350 degrees average for quite a while, with readings of 412, 386 during preheat, then stabilizing at 342, 339, 350ish, 346, 342, 363, and ending at 345, 369. We were unable to replicate the temperature issue the customer experienced.

Repair: Work: Tested heating elements and temperature sensors, monitored temperature cycling · Parts: No parts replaced · Result: Unit performed within normal parameters during our testing

Reported: My dryer won’t start when I push the button!

Reported: You fixed our washer a couple of weeks ago and did a great job but the wife says the washer is acting up again. Cannot get warm water using the dial selector. Only hot water. The cold water is ok.

Reported: The customer reported that their bottom freezer was icing up and sticking, with the door not closing properly. This combination of symptoms typically indicates either a door seal issue or excessive moisture entering the freezer compartment.

Diagnosis: We found heavy ice buildup on the right-hand side of the freezer compartment, with frost and ice throughout. The door was difficult to close due to the ice accumulation. Based on the pattern and extent of the buildup, it appeared the freezer door had been left open overnight at some point, allowing warm, humid air to enter and freeze.

Repair: Work: Cleared frost and ice buildup in freezer · Parts: None required · Result: Door closes properly; instructed customer on best practices for opening and closing freezer

Unknown dryer (HTX26EASW0WW) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the start button was not working to start the dryer. No matter what she tried, pressing the button wouldn’t get the unit running.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we discovered the start button was split. This physical damage prevented the button from making proper contact to initiate the dryer’s start sequence.

Repair: Work: Removed old button and provided customer with link to order correct replacement · Parts: None — button removed for customer replacement · Result: Customer advised that new button pops on from the front for easy installation

Whirlpool refrigerator (WRF560SEHZ00) — Canton, OH

Reported: The refrigerator was not cooling when the customers returned from Florida. The icemaker had also quit working sometime before that. The freezer section was still functioning normally.

Diagnosis: The evaporator fan was basically not functioning, rotating very, very slowly. The defrost sensor was encapsulated in ice. It was clear that the unit had been defrosting, but not completely. The evaporator had a good frost pattern and the cooling system itself seemed to be good, but the unit needed a new fan and a new defrost sensor.

Repair: Work: Replaced fan and defrost sensor, cleared frost and ice from evaporator · Parts: WPW10464673 — Evap fan motor, WPW10384183 — Sensor · Result: Good to go

Admiral microwave (PVM9005EJ2ES) — Canton, OH

Reported: No power, the outlet is hot, ran an extention cord to the unit still no power. Last week, I closed the door and touched the start button, the interior light flashed, there was a snap sound and everything was dark.

Reported: The washer will not agitate when it’s in the wash cycle. Clothes are super wet coming out.

Reported: The LG dryer had lights on but wasn’t making any tones when turning the selector or turning on. During our initial service call, we also identified that one roller wheel was stripped and needed replacement.

Diagnosis: We found the blower thermal fuse was open, preventing normal operation. The stripped roller wheel from our previous visit also required attention to ensure proper drum operation.

Repair: Work: Replaced fuse, replaced both front rollers · Parts: Blower thermal fuse, both front rollers · Result: Good to go

Reported: The customer reported their dryer making loud tumbling noise and suspected it might be a roller or bearing issue. The noise was significant enough to be concerning during normal operation.

Diagnosis: We found rock caught in front slide. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the right one — foreign objects can work their way into dryer mechanisms and create alarming sounds that mimic more serious mechanical problems.

Reported: Hi, you were out on Monday for the LG oven fan issue…..we keep having the same issue in that if I manually turn the fan, it starts working…..but otherwise, it will not come on by itself after sitting a while. Perhaps it is the motor or will need a new fan. You indicated that you could stop out and replace without a need for a new service call. I think that we would like to just have it fixed so that it is cooking at normal temperature. Thanks! Rich

Reported: The customer reported their mounted microwave was displaying error code (SEC) and suspected either a keypad malfunction or stuck button was causing the issue.

Diagnosis: Keypad non functional. I verified it was plugged into main board properly. Some keys respond but not all. The keypad needs replacement, but the part is no longer available (NLA).

Repair: Work: Diagnostic testing of keypad and main board connection · Parts: No parts replaced · Result: Confirmed keypad failure with part unavailable for replacement

Reported: Washer had a burning smell after spin.

Reported: When it’s spins it’s making banging sounds and the whole washer bounces and is very loud. Also everything is still soaked. There’s no water in the washer but the clothes are dripping with water and soapy still.

Reported: The ice maker stopped working a couple weeks ago and it’s now making a noise like its trying to work but it’s just like this wheezing sound.

Reported: Freezer is not freezing but refrigerator still works. Took panel off and saw ice in upper right corner. Tried defrosting and it did the same thing again. Also cleaned coils.
