Whirlpool washer (WTW7000DW0) — Akron, OH

Reported: Top load keeps adding time and the water valve constantly drips.

Admiral washer — Akron, OH

Reported: The customer called because their washer keeps beeping. This appeared to be a straightforward appliance malfunction requiring diagnosis of the Admiral washer’s control system or error codes.

Diagnosis: Upon arrival, we discovered the beeping was actually from a smoke alarm with a dead battery, not the washer itself. However, there was indeed a washer that was out of order. The unit turned out to be a CSC Service Works machine with a faulty card reader.

Repair: Work: Diagnosed noise source and equipment ownership · Parts: No parts used · Result: Identified that CSC Service Works equipment requires specialized service

Whirlpool dryer (WED8127LC2) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their dryer not heating/not drying clothes. The unit would run through its cycles and tumble normally, but clothes came out still wet with no signs of heat generation during operation.

Diagnosis: Unit tumbling but not heating. Found heat element had failed. Thermal fuses were good. The heating element had burned out completely, preventing any heat generation while the safety systems remained functional.

Repair: Work: Replaced element · Parts: WP3387747 — DRYER ELEMENT · Result: Good to go

Kitchenaid refrigerator (KRFF302ESS01) — Canton, OH

Reported: The compressor is not working and no air is blowing to the top of the refrigerator or bottom half freezer.

Reported: Won’t wash our spin. Makes a grinding noise like gears are messed up when in the wash cycle.

Whirlpool wall oven (WOD77EC0HV00) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their Whirlpool double wall oven showing error code F8E0 (upper cooling fan speed low) and oven not starting. The F8E0 code specifically indicates the upper cooling fan isn’t reaching proper RPM, which triggers a safety lockout.

Diagnosis: The upper cooling fan was failing to maintain adequate airflow speed. When the oven’s control system detected the low fan speed, it generated the F8E0 error and prevented the unit from operating to avoid overheating.

Repair: Work: Replaced upper cooling fan · Parts: W11248652 — BLOWER · Result: Good to go

Whirlpool refrigerator (WRX735SDHV06) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported that their refrigerator was not cooling in fridge or freezer. Both compartments had lost their ability to maintain proper temperatures, creating an urgent food safety situation.

Diagnosis: Our inspection found that the compressor was weak and would not start. The compressor is the heart of the refrigeration system, and when it fails to operate, the entire cooling cycle stops working.

Repair: Work: Diagnostic testing of compressor · Parts: None · Result: Customer advised to replace unit due to compressor failure

Whirlpool dishwasher (WDT970SAHZ0) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their dishwasher leaking from bottom/front of door during rinse cycles. Water was escaping during operation, creating a mess on the kitchen floor.

Diagnosis: Both spray arms were cracked. This was causing the unit to spray water under the door in the wash cycle.

Speed queen dryer (ADG4BRGS115TW01) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their dryer squeaking loudly when running. This type of noise typically indicates worn drum support components that need immediate attention.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the drum support roller had failed. When these rollers wear out, they create the characteristic squeaking sound and can cause additional stress on other drive components if not addressed promptly.

Repair: Work: Replaced parts using maintenance kit. Two support rollers, idler pulley, front bearing slides, and a belt. · Parts: D519214 — dryer maintenance kit · Result: Good to go.

Unknown refrigerator (HRB171N6AWE) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer called because their refrigerator was still frosting up. This ongoing issue suggested a problem with the cooling system’s air circulation.

Diagnosis: We found the evap fan running slow. A slow-running evaporator fan can’t move enough air across the evaporator coils, leading to poor defrost cycles and continued frost accumulation throughout the freezer compartment.

Repair: Work: Replaced fan · Parts: K1870599 — fan · Result: Good to go

RCA refrigerator (MTXY14EPGRWH) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their refrigerator was leaking and dripping from the freezer area onto the top shelf. They had already suspected a possible clogged defrost drain based on where the water was appearing.

Diagnosis: Our inspection confirmed the customer’s suspicion — the defrost drain was completely clogged. When defrost drains get blocked, meltwater from the defrost cycle has nowhere to go and backs up into the freezer compartment, eventually dripping down onto the refrigerator shelves below.

Repair: Work: Cleaned drain and cleared defrost drain · Parts: No parts replaced · Result: Good to go

Kenmore washer — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer called because their Kenmore washer’s spin cycle isn’t working. This left laundry sitting wet in the tub instead of spinning out excess water properly.

Diagnosis: The washer had a stored fault code for basket speed. During testing, it operated correctly in manual test mode and the speed sensor was working correctly. This indicated the control system needed recalibration rather than component replacement.

Repair: Work: Recalibrated the washer’s speed sensor system · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Washer now operates correctly with proper spin cycle function

Reported: The customer reported their washer not spinning out water and their dryer not drying well. Both appliances were experiencing performance issues that made laundry day a frustrating experience.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the washer had bad bearings and would need the whole unit replaced. The Admiral dryer needs a timer at minimum to restore proper operation.

Repair: Work: Diagnostic evaluation of both appliances · Parts: No parts were installed during this visit · Result: Provided repair estimate for dryer timer replacement

Electrolux washer (EFLS527UTT0) — East Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their washer was going out of balance. This typically means the machine was shaking, moving, or making excessive noise during the spin cycle when water is extracted from clothes.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found both rear shock absorbers disconnected. Shock absorbers are critical components that dampen the tub movement during the spin cycle. When they disconnect, the washer tub can move freely, causing severe imbalance and potentially damaging other components.

Repair: Work: Reconnected both rear shock absorbers · Parts: No parts replaced · Result: Good to go

GE microwave (JVM3160DF9WW) — Homeworth, OH

Reported: The customer needed a new microwave installed. This was a straightforward installation job rather than a repair.

Repair: Work: Installed new microwave · Result: Good to go

Reported: The customer reported their Sub-Zero refrigerator was leaking water out front. The unit was cooling fine, so the refrigeration system was working properly.

Bosch dishwasher (SHP78CM4N/25) — North Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported error code E9240 even after reboot of dw. This persistent fault code indicated an ongoing issue that wouldn’t clear with a simple restart.

Diagnosis: Three consecutive stored E:9240 fault codes were retrieved via the CS test program confirming a slow drain / water in sump condition. Root cause was identified as a missing drain hose high loop allowing water to siphon back into the sump between cycles, with additional drain path debris contributing. BSH Techline was consulted and confirmed the diagnosis, noting that if the condition persists the next recommended step would be drain pump replacement due to reduced pumping efficiency.

Repair: Work: Installing a proper high loop per BSH installation specifications and clearing the drain path · Parts: No parts replaced · Result: Full CS test program was run to completion with no fault codes generated and drain pump pumping clear on all drain cycles
