Repairs completed the week of April 13, 2026 across Akron, Alliance, Beloit, Canton, Hartville, Louisville and more.

Whirlpool washer (Cabrio WTW6800WW1) — Akron, OH

Reported: Not spinning, grinds when tried to spin.

GE washer (Wjsr4460g2ww) — Alliance, OH

Reported: Will not spin

Frigidaire dryer (FAQG7011LW0) — Beloit, OH

Reported: The customer reported that their dryer starts normally and runs for a bit, then stops, with all lights/screen flashing. This symptom indicated a safety shutdown was occurring during the drying cycle.

Diagnosis: We found an E4A Program Timeout Fault — the drying time had exceeded the program time for that cycle. The root cause was a failed high limit thermal fuse, which cuts power to prevent overheating when airflow is restricted or the unit runs too hot.

Repair: Work: Replaced thermal fuse · Parts: 137539200 — Thermal fuse · Result: Good to go

GE range (JBP64DM1WW) — Beloit, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the bottom heating element is bad. It was sparking and quit heating.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the oven bake element was fried. The element had failed completely, which explained both the sparking and loss of heating function.

Repair: Work: Replaced element · Parts: WB44T10010 — Bake Element · Result: Good to go

GE refrigerator (GTS18HGNDRWW) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer called because their refrigerator wasn’t keeping the bottom section cool. The freezer was still working, but the fresh food compartment was running warm.

Diagnosis: The evaporator fan in the freezer had failed. This fan circulates cold air from the freezer coils down into the refrigerator section, so when it stops working, the bottom compartment loses cooling while the freezer continues to function.

Repair: Work: Replaced fan motor · Parts: WR60X31522 — Evaporator fan · Result: Good to go

Unknown refrigerator (HRB171N6AWE) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their refrigerator was still frosting up. This ongoing issue indicated a circulation problem that wasn’t resolved by earlier service attempts.

Diagnosis: Testing revealed the evaporator fan was running slow. A slow-running evap fan can’t move air properly through the evaporator coils, leading to ice formation and poor cooling performance throughout the refrigerator compartment.

Repair: Work: Replaced fan · Parts: K1870599 — fan · Result: Good to go

Maytag dryer (MED4500MW0) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their Maytag dryer was not working well with no better description provided. Upon arrival, we found the unit completely non-functional with no drum movement.

Diagnosis: Found drum not rotating. Motor would not start. This appeared to be a temporary mechanical binding issue rather than a complete motor failure, as the unit responded well to manual intervention.

Repair: Work: Manually rotated drum · Parts: No parts replaced · Result: Unit is now starting and cycling normally. Dryer is heating well.

GE dryer (GTDP220GF5WW) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer contacted us because their dryer was not tumbling. The drum wasn’t rotating when they started a cycle, making the appliance completely unusable for drying clothes.

Diagnosis: We found a belt broken inside the dryer. The drive belt connects the motor to the drum, and when it breaks, the drum cannot rotate even though the motor and other components may still function normally.

Repair: Work: Replaced belt · Parts: WE03X29897 — belt · Result: Good airflow through vent to outside. Unit is heating and tumbling.

GE range (JGBS60DEK4WW) — Hartville, OH

Reported: The customer reported that their oven does not heat up. The range would go through the motions of trying to light, but no heat was being produced in the oven cavity.

Diagnosis: Testing revealed the bake igniter pulling 2.6 amps when it should be 3.2-3.6. At this reduced amperage, the igniter wasn’t getting hot enough to signal the gas valve to open, preventing the oven from heating properly.

Repair: Work: Replaced igniter · Parts: WB13K21 — IGNITOR OVEN · Result: Good to go. Ignited in 40 seconds, preheated in

Whirlpool refrigerator (WRF767SDEM01) — Louisville, OH

Reported: The customer called about their Whirlpool refrigerator with a freezer icemaker not making ice. The unit had stopped producing ice entirely, leaving the household without this essential feature.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection of the freezer compartment, we found the icemaker cycles round and round and will not stop. Through diagnostic testing, we were able to get it to fill by manually jumping the test points, confirming the water supply and electrical connections were functional. However, the icemaker assembly itself had failed and would need complete replacement.

Repair: Work: Diagnosed faulty icemaker through manual testing · Result: Customer chose not to proceed with repair at this point

Maytag dryer (MEDB835DW4) — Louisville, OH

Reported: The customer reported their dryer making loud noise and drum hard to turn. This combination of symptoms typically indicates a mechanical obstruction or component misalignment affecting normal operation.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we discovered the blower wheel scraping on duct. This mechanical interference was causing both the loud noise during operation and the resistance when attempting to turn the drum manually.

Repair: Work: Resolved scraping · Parts: No parts replaced · Result: Good to go

Subzero refrigerator (650/F) — Louisville, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the temp went from 37 to 45. It was taking way too long to cool back down, and after 24 hours it was at 41. This kind of gradual temperature rise typically points to a refrigerant system issue rather than a simple thermostat or fan problem.

Diagnosis: Testing revealed a refrigerant leak in the evaporator system. The evaporator coil had developed a leak, allowing the R134A refrigerant to escape slowly. This caused the gradual loss of cooling capacity and the extended recovery times the customer experienced.

Repair: Work: Replaced evaporator and filter dryer. Leak checked OK. Charged, good to go. · Parts: 4204400 — Service Evap 550/650 SVCE, 7006964 — Drier High Side SVCE, R134A — Refrigerant · Result: System leak checked clean and refrigerator returned to proper cooling temperatures

Maytag dryer (MDG2600BWW, LGA30AW) — Massillon, OH

Reported: I need someone to give me an estimate and hopefully repair a gas leak somewhere in my drier line, please. We replaced all the gas lines from the gas input, capped it, tested w goop and a lighter, and don’t think we have a leak there, so figuring it’s after it connects to drier, aka drier issue. Like maybe a cracked pipe or connector in there.(Maytag, MDG2600BWW) I bought this drier gently used 8 years ago, stored in my attached garage and just moved it to the basement and tried hooking it up for the first time recently. I also still have the drier that we moved out the basement (which is in the garage,. Which I planned to get rid of but maybe you will tell me it’s easier to fix or a better dryer (Amana LGA30AW) We think that one is a belt and roller issue maybe? It was whistling/squeaking while running and just started to smell a little hot recently. I work 9-7 m-f, but my dad can be here most anytime to let you in and be your contact person. His name is Jim Starrett, he does text, his cell is 330.904.7628. Thanks so much! -Beth 🙂

Maytag dryer (MDE6200AYW) — Massillon, OH

Reported: The customer reported the dryer was squeaking when running. They described it as sounding like belt squeaking on a car.

Diagnosis: We opened up the Maytag MDE6200AYW and found the drive belt had stretched and worn down, causing it to slip and squeak against the drum and pulleys during operation.

Repair: Work: Replaced belt · Parts: WP33002535 — Belt · Result: Good to go

Samsung dryer (DV42H5200EF/A3) — North Canton, OH

Reported: Dryer will not heat We cleaned out the venting. We replaced the heating element and fuses/ connectors. Worked for a week. Replaced the heating element again worked for a week replaced main computer board and heating element for the third fix. Worked for another week. Checked child lock as well. At my wits end.

Samsung dishwasher (DW80K7050US/AA 03) — North Canton, OH

Reported: The customer’s secondary issue was the dishwasher door. It just drops instead of opening softly.

Diagnosis: The door springs were worn out and no longer providing the controlled opening action. When dishwasher door springs fail, the door loses its soft-close mechanism and drops open under its own weight.

Repair: Work: Replaced door springs · Parts: 2x DD81-02111A — Door rope · Result: Good to go
