Kitchenaid Refrigerator Repair — Massillon, OH

Brand: Kitchenaid · Appliance: Refrigerator · City: Massillon, OH · Model: KRMF706EBS05

Kitchenaid Refrigerator repair in Massillon, Ohio

The Problem

Refrigerator and freezer not cooling — motor was running loud then stopped completely, no lights, unit appears fully dead

The Repair

Customer reported buzzing/vibration from the freezer followed by complete loss of cooling, with the dispenser UI remaining operational. Initial diagnostics were largely nonresponsive and showed an FC thermistor open fault; after disconnecting the evaporator fan loads, both FC and RC thermistors passed and the compressor successfully operated in Test 4. Findings indicate a failed/shorted freezer evaporator fan motor or harness was pulling down the low-voltage circuit and preventing normal operation. Ordering freezer evaporator fan assembly; compressor/inverter and main control operation verified.
Replaced freezer evaporator fan. Good to go.

Other Refrigerator repair in Canton, Ohio

The Problem

Refrigerator not cooling — freezer section working but fresh food compartment not cooling at all; defrost cycle workaround worked once before but issue has returned

The Repair

Performed: FF evaporator frost pattern (Good, even frost — no ice-up, defrost not the issue); FF evap fan supply voltage at connector (13 VDC present, fan not running); Known-good fan swap test (Freezer fan plugged into FF fan connector — powered up and ran normally); Diagnosis (FF evaporator fan motor failed — board output and harness confirmed good); Freezer evap fan (Plugged in and verified running); FF fan connector power test (Freezer fan plugged into FF fan connector — ran, confirming board output/harness good); FF evap fan motor replacement (3015924900) (Installed new motor, runs normally); Post-repair verification (FF fan running, cabinet pulling down — customer confirmed FF holding temp and recovering after door opening).
