Diagnostics uncovered multiple stored fault codes and an installation clearance issue that prevented safe removal of the unit, leading to a referral to Whirlpool factory service for further repair.

The Problem

After the oven has been used for more than 30 minutes, a “F8E0: UPPER COOL FAN SPEED” message appears.

The Repair

Combination wall oven WOC75EC0HS20 presented with stored fault codes F8E0 (cooling fan underspeed), F6E0 (UI communication loss), and F4E1 (microwave cavity temperature sensor), with customer reporting intermittent failures since installation approximately 3 years ago. Component activation diagnostics completed: bake, broil, convection element, convection fan, oven light, door latch, cooling fan low speed, microwave lamp, turntable, and microwave cooling fan relays all passed. Microwave magnetron relay activation triggers F4E1 and will not proceed. Cooling fan high speed runs with erratic RPM feedback. Microwave door interlocks verified functioning. Unit is installed with insufficient clearance at the top and sides of the cutout; the oven cannot be removed for further diagnosis or repair without risk of damage to the cabinetry or the appliance. Diagnosis requires removal to access the control boards, cavity temperature sensor, and cooling fan. Customer referred to Whirlpool factory service for removal, repair, and installation clearance evaluation. No service charge.
