Making noise. Heats fine.

Customer complaint: unusual noise during operation. Inspected blower wheel/housing and found foreign objects lodged inside — Allen wrench, drill bits, and a piece of wood. Removed debris, reassembled blower assembly. Test run confirmed quiet operation, no abnormal noise. Verified exhaust vent clear and unobstructed, reconnected vent to unit. Confirmed heating normal on Auto/Timed Dry cycles; confirmed no heat on Air Fluff (correct operation — not a fault). Unit fully operational, good to go.

Dishwasher recurring E25 error code, intermittent drain issue — clears temporarily but returns

Root cause found: check valve clip in sump (under filter) was not seated — groove it locates into was obstructed, keeping valve from clipping in fully. Cleaned obstruction, reseated clip, confirmed it now slips into groove correctly and holds. Ran unit — draining normally, no E25.

Could not replicate the “water standing in bottom + E25” complaint on this visit — makes sense if the valve was intermittently seating/unseating on its own before, since a partially-open check valve backflows and causes exactly that symptom.

Customer also has a separate drain line issue from the disposal into the wall — having that serviced/cleared independently. Advised him to call back if E25 returns after that’s done, since that could be a contributing/compounding factor (restricted house drain line = backpressure = same symptom).

It skips slowest speed on startup, jumps to fast speed and throws ingredients.

Follow-up on KitchenAid K5SSWH stand mixer — customer reported skipped/inconsistent low speeds after prior switch replacement. Diagnosed as control board screw adjustment issue (STIR/screws 1&2 and speed 2/screw 3 not set to factory spec — not a defective switch). Adjusted STIR speed screws for proper slow/controlled stir. Adjusted screw 3 to correct STIR-to-speed-2 transition. Rebalanced screw 3 after initial adjustment caused loss of speed 8-to-10 transition (over-extension interfered with board travel at high end). Ruled out mechanical binding (center shaft bearing, hand-checked free) and low line voltage as contributing factors. Verified full 1-10 speed range operates evenly with proper progressive step-up at each position. Unit fully functional.
