When a Canton, OH household moved their Admiral refrigerator to the garage, the appliance stopped cooling on both the freezer and refrigerator sides, and the digital control panel LEDs stopped working as well. Samuel visited the home on Salerno Street Northwest to inspect the unit and found ice built up on top of the evaporator and in the drain. He cleared the ice buildup and confirmed the fan and defrost heater were functioning in manual mode, leaving the repair to be evaluated after the clearing.
The Problem
The freezer and refrigerator side are not working. I have turned the temp as low as it can go with no success. The led’s on the digital control panel are no longer functioning. We recently moved it from the kitchen to the garage and since then has stopped working.
The Repair
Ice built up on top of evaporator and in drain, but evaporator clear. Fan and defrost heater work fine in manual mode. Cleared ice buildup and will see what happens.
