Diagnosis: Testing the bake cycle revealed the igniter wasn’t drawing sufficient amperage to signal the gas valve to open. The igniter showed no visible glow and measured well below the threshold needed for proper operation. This failure pattern is typical for Samsung ranges around the 5-7 year mark, where the igniter’s resistance gradually increases until it can no longer pull enough current.

Diagnosis: Testing revealed the motor start capacitor was completely out of specification on our meter. The lid switch tested good, motor windings showed proper continuity, and all other electrical components checked normal. The water on the floor traced back to a recent sump pump backup during heavy rain — not a washer leak. Without a functioning start capacitor, the motor couldn’t overcome initial resistance to begin spinning.

Whirlpool dryer (WED6200SW0) — North Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported that their WED6200SW0 dryer would start and run, but the drum wouldn’t spin at all. The motor was getting power and you could hear it trying to work, but nothing moved. Clothes came out exactly as wet as they went in.

Diagnosis: We checked the drive belt first — it was intact and the drum turned freely by hand. The motor was receiving power and attempting to run. The real culprit was hiding in the blower wheel housing where a pencil had lodged itself completely, preventing the blower from turning. Since Whirlpool dryers use the blower motor to drive both air circulation and drum rotation through the belt system, this single obstruction shut down the entire drying process.

Admiral refrigerator (GALLERY PLHT219SCBB) — North Canton, OH

Reported: The customer contacted us about water leaking in the bottom of the fridge. This type of water accumulation typically points to drainage issues within the refrigerator’s defrost system.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the defrost drain was plugged. When this drain becomes blocked, defrost water has nowhere to go and pools in the bottom of the refrigerator compartment instead of draining properly to the evaporator pan.

LG oven/stove (LRG3085ST) — North Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported that neither the broiler nor oven would preheat. Both generated an F-9 error code. They unplugged the oven for 10 minutes to see if the electronics would reset, but it still generated an F-9 code. The stove burners all worked OK.

Diagnosis: The F-9 error code on this LG range indicated a main control board failure. With the burners still functioning normally, this confirmed the issue was isolated to the oven’s electronic control system rather than a broader electrical problem.

GE oven/stove (JS760SL1SS) — North Canton, OH

Reported: When you try to use the oven or broil it just cuts out and resets. The customer thought it might be a power issue or bad control board affecting the unit’s ability to maintain operation.

Diagnosis: The main control had failed. This control board manages all oven functions including temperature regulation and cycle timing, so when it fails, the unit cannot maintain proper operation and resets itself as a safety measure.

LG washer (WM2501HWA) — North Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported that their LG washer will not turn the drum. This symptom typically indicates either a mechanical obstruction or an electrical issue preventing the motor from engaging properly.

Diagnosis: During our first visit on December 11th, we found the filter on the drain pump was plugged. After draining the washer and clearing the filter, the issue appeared resolved. However, a follow-up visit on December 20th revealed the hot water valve had failed and required replacement.

Reported: The customer contacted us about their Samsung range experiencing multiple issues. The lights on hood went out completely, leaving the cooking surface poorly lit. Additionally, the latch on the dual door isn’t allowing us to open the entire oven door, though we’re able to open the top of the oven when we push the button.

Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed two separate component failures. The hood lighting system had failed due to a defective LED driver, which controls power distribution to the LED bulbs. The dual oven door mechanism showed signs of latch assembly failure, preventing proper door operation while still allowing partial access through the top section.

Repair: Work: Replaced door on oven and led driver on hood · Parts: W11169718 transformer and DG94-01269D door assembly · Result: Both the hood lighting and dual door operation were fully restored

Whirlpool dishwasher (WDT710PAYM5) — Salem, OH

Reported: The customer reported their WDT710PAYM5 would fill with water and appear to run a full cycle, but dishes came out still dirty. During operation, the unit made loud grinding and humming noises instead of the normal water circulation sounds. The dishwasher would drain properly at the end of each cycle, but clearly wasn’t washing anything.

Diagnosis: Testing revealed no water spray from either the mid-level or top wash arms during the wash cycle. The filter was clean with no debris blockage, and all spray arms were free of buildup. The loud grinding noise pointed directly to the wash circulation pump — the motor was running but the impeller had seized, preventing water from being pumped through the spray system. This left the wash arms motionless while the pump motor struggled and overheated.

Whirlpool dryer (CEM2743BQ0) — Uniontown, OH

Reported: The customer reported their dryer would run through complete cycles but clothes came out still damp. The drum was tumbling normally and the unit wasn’t throwing any error codes, but zero heat was being generated during any cycle setting.

Diagnosis: Visual inspection showed 240V power reaching the terminal block, but continuity testing revealed the heating element was completely open. The thermal fuse and operating thermostats all tested within normal parameters, and the exhaust vent had adequate airflow with no lint blockages.

Samsung refrigerator (RF25H5111WW) — Waynesburg, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the compressor won’t start and there’s a LED blinking on the PCB. According to the sticker on the unit, the blinking LED means either the inverter PCB or compressor is faulty.

Diagnosis: The compressor has failed with a short in the compressor windings. The unit also displayed error code 81E, which indicates a compressor starting failure error. This defect is displayed when the compressor startup fails.
