Admiral oven/stove (Jb645dk2ww) — Minerva, OH

Reported: The customer reported that their front burner was not regulating. This meant the burner wasn’t maintaining consistent heat levels during cooking.

Diagnosis: Our inspection found that the control switch for the front burner had failed. This component controls the heat output and when it malfunctions, the burner cannot properly regulate temperature.

Maytag dishwasher (MDB4000AWW) — New Franklin, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the door won’t latch shut. This prevented the dishwasher from starting any wash cycles, as the safety interlock wouldn’t engage without proper door closure.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found that the left door hinge had come loose. This caused the door to sag and misalign, preventing the latch mechanism from engaging properly with the door frame.

Samsung refrigerator (RF263BEAESR/AA) — North Canton, OH

Reported: No cooling in fresh food or freezer. Loud buzzing noise from bottom rear. Unit runs ~10 minutes, then buzzes loudly and shuts down. Excessive heat at top of freezer / mullion area (hot to touch). Reset/unplug temporarily restores operation before shutdown.

Diagnosis: Unplugged condenser fan, unit cooling fine and not making noise. The failed condenser fan was causing the cooling system to overheat and shut down on thermal protection, which explained the hot mullion area and temporary restoration after unplugging.

Maytag dryer (MED5100DW0) — North Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported a squeaky noise coming from their Maytag dryer. The unit was still drying clothes but the noise was becoming more noticeable with each load.

Diagnosis: Samuel opened the cabinet and found the dryer was making noise due to a worn idler pulley and belt system. The idler pulley bearing was failing and the drive belt showed signs of wear, both contributing to the squeaky operation.

Frigidaire refrigerator (FGHC2355PF5) — North Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the water going to the freezer appears to be a problem causing the freezer refrigerator to throw a code that keeps kicking it out. The inside of the freezer looks like Frozen’.

Diagnosis: The water valve to the icemaker was seeping. This caused a steady drip into the icemaker and it overflowed into the ice in the freezer compartment, creating excessive frost buildup and triggering error codes.

Repair: Work: Installed a new line and cleared the frost and ice from the freezer compartment and fan area · Parts: 242252702 — valve solenoid triple · Result: Issue is resolved and the refrigerator is operating correctly

Frigidaire microwave (FFMV164LSA) — North Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their microwave quit working and it runs continuously when the door is shut. This type of malfunction indicates a serious control or door switch failure that poses safety concerns.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection of the Frigidaire FFMV164LSA, we found the unit had multiple system failures that made repair impractical. The continuous running with the door closed indicated critical safety switch malfunctions that would require extensive component replacement.

Admiral washer (0) — North Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the dial broke away from front plate and the overflow tube was not connected inside machine. These surface-level issues suggested deeper mechanical problems with the aging Admiral unit.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found that bearings on washer are failing and the console is broken. The combination of failing bearings and broken console made repair impractical for this commercial setting where reliability is critical.

Repair: Work: Replacement of entire unit requested by Kory in maintenance. Installed slightly used Speed Queen commercial washer. · Parts: Commercial Washing Machine-Speed Queen · Result: Facility now has a reliable commercial-grade washer for continued operation

Whirlpool washer (WTW5520SQ0) — Paris, OH

Reported: The customer reported their WTW5520SQ0 would start a cycle normally — filling with water and agitating the clothes — but then stop completely when it should begin draining. Water remained in the tub, and the spin cycle never engaged. This left clothes soaking wet and created a breeding ground for mildew odors.

Diagnosis: Testing revealed the washer’s lid switch had failed in the open position, even with the lid properly closed. This safety component must show continuity to allow the drain pump and spin motor to operate. When we bypassed the switch temporarily, both the pump and motor ran perfectly. The switch itself showed no continuity across its terminals, confirming the diagnosis.

Repair: Work: Removed old switch, installed new assembly, verified proper lid alignment · Parts: WP8318084 — lid switch assembly · Result: Washer now completes full cycles with proper drain and spin operation
