Louisville Appliance Repair recently completed a Samsung dryer repair for a customer on Pickforde Drive Northeast in North Canton, OH. The dryer was powering on but failing to start, and had made a loud noise when the cycle was initiated. Samuel visited the home, found that the idler pulley had failed, and after installing a new part the dryer was operating correctly.
The Problem
When I hit start to start the cycle it made a loud noise. I am guessing the belt snapped, but not sure. Now it will power on but won’t start.
The Repair
The idler pulley had failed. This is a common issue with the Samsung dryers. After installing a new one it is operating correctly.
Parts replaced: DC93-00634A (idler pulley).
