A Samsung refrigerator at a home on Sandy Ave SE in Canton, OH was experiencing a recurring ice buildup at the bottom of the unit, with the homeowner repeatedly using a hair dryer to clear what had become a significant ice formation, until water began leaking out from the bottom. Samuel visited the home and resolved the issue by clearing a plugged defrost drain and installing a water leakage assembly. The repair brought the refrigerator back to normal operation.
The Problem
Ice keeps backing up in the bottom and we have repeatedly take hair dryer to it but keeps forming ice and last night water came out bottom.
We use dyer and melt it enough to scrap it and it is like a iceberg.
The Repair
Installed the leakage kit and cleared a plugged defrost drain.
