Louisville Appliance Repair recently visited a home on 48th Street North West in Canton, OH, where an Admiral microwave, model PVM9005EJ2ES, had completely lost power after the owner heard a snap and saw the interior light flash when closing the door and pressing start. Samuel arrived and found a blown fuse, a faulty door switch, and an open thermal fuse. Given the extent of the damage and the cost of the required parts, replacing the microwave proved to be the more economical option for the customer.
The Problem
No power, the outlet is hot, ran an extention cord to the unit still no power. Last week, I closed the door and touched the start button, the interior light flashed, there was a snap sound and everything was dark.
The Repair

The microwave had a blown fuse, bad door switch and a open thermal fuse. We would need to replace all of the door switches and the bracket that supports them. Due to the cost of the parts, it seems more economical to replace the microwave.
