Louisville Appliance Repair recently completed a service call on Lorraine Ave NW in North Canton, OH, where a customer reported that their LG refrigerator model LRFVC2406S/01 was failing to freeze food overnight and the freezer door did not appear to be sealing properly. Samuel visited the home and traced the issues to an ice pad beneath the main basket preventing the door from closing fully, as well as a misplaced silicone clip on the craft ice maker that was causing it to leak water into the freezer. After replacing the craft ice maker, the unit was restored to proper working order.
The Problem
Freezer not freezing overnight, nothing frozen by morning; freezer door appears not to be sealing/suctioning properly
The Repair
Cc unit not cooling, freezer door not closing all the way, neither ice maker functional for some time. I found an ice pad under the main basket keeping freezer door from closing. Frost pattern is good on freezer evaporator. Craft ice maker in freezer had a silicone clip misplaced and wasn’t closing properly. This was causing it to overflow and water was spraying in to upper fan Icemaker channels in freezer. Kraft icemaker was not closing all the way and leaking water. Replaced Kraft icemaker, good to go.
Parts replaced: AEQ73449909 (kraft ice maker).
