I replaced the freezer evaporator fan motor in the fridge recently. She said it’s been freezing the refrigerator food ever since. I found out that the evaporator fan motor was blowing backwards. So it was blowing the cold air through the air return and pulling warm air back through where the cold air was supposed to go and where the thermostat was registering it active temperature. Corrected fan orientation. Should be good to go.
