On a service call to Akron, Samuel Willhite investigated a Bosch refrigerator (model B36FD31ENS/01) reported to be producing slow or no ice. A thorough diagnostic visit confirmed the ice maker was operating normally after a prior repair, with no fault found and no parts needed.

The Repair
Bosch B36FD31ENS/01 — returned for reported slow/no ice production following 7/07 SMM replacement. On arrival ice maker was found switched off with the ice bin empty; customer-run 24-hour production test on 7/8–7/9 had filled the bin in approximately 22 hours, confirming normal production after the prior repair. Freezer verified -5°F and ice mold 0°F by IR, fresh food verified at temp, door seals intact with no frost buildup. Ran full technical-mode diagnostics: all sensors nominal, hopper fill state correct with empty bin on passive and forced reads, hopper presence switch verified 0 seated/1 removed, door switches correct, evaporator and IWS fans operational, mold heater functional, ice maker fill valve and dispenser valve both delivering with good flow, and water filter flow good. Ejector fingers were found stopped mid-sweep and ice-bound consistent with power removed mid-harvest; mold was warmed above freezing and the ejector completed rotation to park smoothly, verifying the drive train healthy. Ice maker re-enabled and power cycled with fill verified. Customer was shown the ice maker on/off control and off-state display indicator. No fault found; no parts required.
