Tappan Wall Oven Repair – Minerva, OH (72-4213-00)

Samuel made a service call on Pleasant Ridge Street SE in Minerva, OH to look at a Tappan wall oven that wasn’t heating reliably. The bottom oven was showing a flame but failing to come up to temperature, and a propane smell pointed to something worth catching quickly. Performed: Measure igniter current draw with an ammeter in series during ignition attempt; Inspect igniter for cracks, carbon tracking, or glazing; Check safety (oven) thermostat continuity and calibration; Inspect burner ports and venturi tube for blockage or spider nesting; Verify igniter-to-burner gap and alignment; Check oven door gasket seal and door hinge tension; Inspect wiring harness and connectors at gas valve and igniter module for heat damage or loose pins.
