Customer reports intermittent motor noise that stops when the FF door opens. FF evaporator fan verified functional and quiet, ice maker fan visually clear with no ice contact, compressor amp draw normal, condenser coil/fan clean and spinning freely, both door gaskets sealing, FF condensate drain clear, cabinet temps within spec, water filter/inlet valve no leaks. No mechanical or electrical fault found on evap fans, icemaker, compressor, or seals. Noted the mullion flipper between the FF doors is not always closing/flipping out fully — likely explanation for the intermittent noise given it correlates with door movement. Customer to monitor for a few days confirming the mullion fully flips into position on each close and watching whether that resolves the noise; if it doesn’t change or the mullion is ruled out, customer intends to replace the refrigerator rather than pursue further repair.

Washer smelled like burnt peanut butter during last load and was making clanking noises prior

Ground outer tub, rusted and corroded. Seal leaking. Ordering idler pulley/belt kit and outer tub kit.

Replaced outer tub, which came with hub, bearing and seal. Replaced idler pulley and belt. Good to go.

Washer fills with water then shuts off completely after about 30 seconds, display goes blank as if cycle is done

SmartHQ fault history showed F3 (locked rotor monitor, cancels cycle) logged 18 times, most recent the same day, matching the complaint of the unit shutting off and going blank after fill. SmartHQ reported the connected control as model GTW485ASJ1WS, serial LG162722G (Jun 2016), which does not match the rating label (GTW465ASN2WW, DS255266G); the main control appears to have been replaced before the customer purchased the unit used approximately three months ago. Found the drive belt off; reinstalled it and inspected the belt and pulleys, both in good condition. Ran SmartHQ service mode diagnostics: the low flow/pressure sensor fill test passed (7.2 in), agitate tested good, the spin test locked the lid and reached its 140 RPM target, and drain tested good. Shocks checked good and the transmission sounded normal. Installed two available software updates. The unit passed all tests and is operating normally.
