Repair record › Kenmore dryers
We've repaired 19 Kenmore dryers for this problem between March 2019 and September 2026. This is what was actually wrong, counted from our own job records.
Of the 19 Kenmore dryers we've repaired for "will not start", the most common cause was: door switch failed (3 jobs, 16%), followed by thermal fuse blown (3) and main control board failed (3). The parts we replaced most often were door switch, thermal fuse, drive belt.
Seen once each: heating element shorted, timer failed, gfci outlet tripped, household power supply problem.
