Repair record › Maytag washers
We've repaired 15 Maytag washers for this problem between January 2019 and August 2026. This is what was actually wrong, counted from our own job records.
Of the 15 Maytag washers we've repaired for "will not start", the most common cause was: user interface board failed (5 jobs, 33%), followed by main control board failed (2). The parts we replaced most often were user interface board, water level sensor, drain hose.
Seen once each: power outlet not working, water level sensor failed, motor control board failed, lid lock failed, transmission failed, no fault found, gfci outlet tripped, shift actuator failed.
One repair can replace more than one part, so these add up to more than the number of jobs.
Most of these jobs showed no code at all; the customer just noticed the problem.
