Why We Maintain This List
I run an owner-operated appliance repair company. After a service call, customers regularly ask who I’d trust for the rest of the work around their home — the plumber when the dishwasher problem turns out to be a drain, the electrician when an old circuit can’t hold a new appliance, the landscaper when a project gets bigger than the kitchen. This list is my answer.
Every business here is one I’ve personally used, worked alongside, or whose owner I know directly — companies I’d welcome in my own home and refer my own customers to without hesitation. Most are owner-operated. All are local experts in their field who show up, communicate clearly, and charge fairly.
No one pays to be on this page. There are no commissions and no referral fees. If a company stops doing the work the way I’d expect, it comes off the list.
Appliance & Drain
NEO Drain Cleaning
Owner Neal Mickley. I’ve used Neal personally for obstructed drains at my own home and referred countless customers. Drain specialists for clogs, slow drains, and main-line backups — fast dispatch across Louisville and surrounding Northeast Ohio communities.
Water
Alliance Water Conditioning & Plumbing Inc.
Owner Jared Duncan, third generation. Family-owned, founded 1973 by Scott & Mary Duncan. My call for water-quality needs — softener salt, softener install and maintenance, general plumbing, filtration and conditioning. 1097 W Main St, Alliance OH 44601 · OH Plumbing License #38188.
Excavation & Construction
Koehn Construction
Koehn Construction
Owner Lance Koehn. A trusted local general contractor — the call when a project is bigger than a single appliance or fixture.
Yoder’s Land Forming LLC
Owners Neal & Zeke Yoder (brothers). I’ve used them for driveway rehabilitation and foundation work; they’ve done basements, driveways, ponds, barn and chicken pads, and excavation across the area. GPS-guided grading for precise drainage and tidy sites.
Green America Landscapes
Owner Kenyon Kramer. Kenyon and his crew have done full landscaping and hardscape installs at three of my homes. Sharp eye for detail, high-quality low-maintenance design, decades of hands-on experience. The local expert for landscape and hardscape design across Stark County.
Waste & Dumpsters
E-Z Roll Off Containers
Owner Clark Koehn. I’ve used E-Z multiple times for construction projects: easy online scheduling, prompt delivery, clean new trucks that don’t drip oil on your driveway, and pickup happens when they say it will. Roll-off dumpsters sized for home projects (10, 15, 20-yard) throughout Louisville and Stark County.
Envirowaste
Owner Erik Beachy. I’ve been a customer since Erik bought the business — zero problems, reasonable rates, consistent on-time pickup, contract-free. Local trash and dumpster service for homeowners who value responsive routes.
Heating & Cooling (HVAC)
HVAC demand often outpaces availability in peak season, so I list several trusted options to improve the odds you reach someone fast. All three are companies I’ve personally worked with and recommend.
Hill’s Heating & Cooling
Owner Mike Hill. Local HVAC for furnace, heat pump, and AC service across the Stark County area.
Air Time Heating & Cooling
Air Time Heating & Cooling
Local HVAC service across Stark and surrounding counties. A reliable second option when Hill’s is booked.
All Comfort Heating & Cooling
Local HVAC company that rounds out the rotation when the other two are booked. Trusted name in the area.
Electrical
Pauli Electric Inc.
Licensed electricians for panel work, dedicated appliance circuits, lighting, and GFCI/AFCI safety. Clean, code-compliant installs — the right call when an appliance issue turns out to be a circuit issue.
Pest Control
Loveless Exterminating

Exterior Cleaning
Dryer Vent Guy LLC
Owner Brandon Nickel, based in Massillon OH. My referral partner for ladder-required and complex dryer vent jobs — professional vent cleaning and repair to improve airflow, shorten dry times, and reduce fire risk.
Spotless Washing
Owner Brennan. Family-owned in Malvern OH 44644. Soft washing for siding and roofs, pressure washing for concrete and decks, plus window and gutter cleaning — does extensive work around Lake Mohawk. I used them last spring: prompt, very reasonable pricing, great communication, very happy with the job.
Equipment Rental
EquipRents
Owner Troy Koehn (previously of Koehn Construction). Equipment rental for the projects that need the right machine on site — from skid steers to lifts and beyond.

First-hand experience. Either I’ve used the business personally, worked alongside the owner, or I know the owner directly — companies I’d welcome in my own home and refer my own customers to without hesitation. If a company stops doing the work the way I’d expect, it comes off the list.

No — this is the short list of businesses I’d call first. There are other good companies in the area that I’d also recommend if these aren’t available. The list is curated, not exhaustive. If you’re looking for something not covered here, ask — I might know someone.

Happens often. A dishwasher that won’t drain can be a drain problem (call NEO Drain Cleaning). A new oven on an old circuit can be an electrical problem (Pauli Electric). A laundry hot-water issue can be water quality (Alliance Water Conditioning & Plumbing). When that’s the case I’ll usually point you straight to the right partner. If the appliance still needs work after, schedule with me here.
