A Speed Queen dryer in North Canton stopped working completely for a customer who confirmed it had power and was properly plugged in. The unit wouldn’t turn on at all, which led us to investigate the internal drive system where we found a broken belt wrapped around the motor pulley.

The Problem

Diagnosis

Found the belt broken. Part of it was wrapped around the motor pulley. Belt off switch was activated. When a dryer belt breaks, the belt-off safety switch prevents the unit from starting to protect the motor and other components from damage.
