GE dryer (GTD33EASK0WW) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their GE dryer operates sporadically. Sometimes it will start sometimes it won’t. This intermittent operation made it difficult to rely on the dryer for regular laundry cycles.

LG dishwasher (LDF5545ST/00) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their LG dishwasher stops running mid cycle or sometimes just after 30 seconds. They suspected it was possibly electrical and had some video of function lights flashing during the malfunction.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, it looked like the user interface had failed. This control board manages all dishwasher functions and when it fails, it can cause erratic operation including mid-cycle shutdowns and flashing indicator lights.

Kenmore refrigerator (253.54622401) — North Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their freezer door pops open and frost forms. They also noticed the side of freezer is warm to touch in places, which understandably had them concerned about a potential seal or cooling system issue.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the freezer was too full and preventing the door from closing all the way. When a freezer door can’t seal properly due to overcrowding, warm air enters the compartment, causing frost buildup and making the exterior walls feel warm as the compressor works overtime to maintain temperature.
Repair: Work: Customer education on proper loading · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Door closes properly with adequate clearance
Maytag dryer (LSG7806AAE) — Canton, OH
Reported: When dryer is off there is a strong gas smell. This type of gas odor when the appliance isn’t running indicates a serious safety concern that requires immediate attention.

Repair: Work: Diagnostic evaluation of gas system · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Customer will need to replace
Maytag dryer (MDE12CSACL) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that dryer #7 is operating for free. This meant customers could use the machine without inserting coins, resulting in lost revenue for the laundromat operator.

Diagnosis: The clutch assembly had failed, causing the loud noise during operation. This is a common wear item on Maytag washers that connects the transmission to the spin basket.
Repair: Work: Replaced the splutch assembly · Parts: W10721967 — clutch kit · Result: Washer still has a slight squeak when initiating the spin cycle but the main noise issue was resolved
Admiral refrigerator (PDS18SBMCLBS) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer contacted us because their refrigerator had developed cooling problems. Freezer works fine but fridge doesn’t cool well.
Diagnosis: During our inspection, we determined the evaporator fan seems to have failed. This fan is responsible for circulating cold air from the freezer section into the fresh food compartment, which explains why the freezer maintained proper temperatures while the refrigerator section struggled to stay cool.
Repair: Work: Diagnostic evaluation completed · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Due to the age of the appliance and difficulty of the repair, the customer will likely replace the unit
Whirlpool washer — Louisville, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Whirlpool washer was not spinning. This left wet clothes sitting in standing water after wash cycles completed.
Diagnosis: The washer had a sock stuck in it which kept it from draining. When washers can’t drain properly, the spin cycle won’t engage as a safety feature to prevent damage to the motor and transmission.
Repair: Work: Removed stuck sock from drain system, replaced defrost thermostat in fridge · Parts: WP10442411 — defrost thermostat (refrigerator) · Result: Washer draining and spinning normally, refrigerator defrost cycle restored

Amana dryer (NED4655EW1) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The customer reported that although the dryer runs and seems to heat, the clothes aren’t drying. It started with just bigger loads taking several times through, but now even small loads are not drying. The dryer is only around 2 years old.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the vent hose was pinched off due to being too close to the wall. This restriction was preventing proper airflow, causing the moist air to remain trapped in the drum instead of being expelled outside.
Repair: Work: Shortened vent hose to eliminate pinching · Parts: None required · Result: Proper airflow restored, dryer operating normally
Samsung refrigerator (RF268ABRS/XAA) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Samsung refrigerator was not cooling in freezer. They called ahead on their land line to schedule the service call.

Reported: The customer reported the refrigerator was leaking water. This type of water leak often points to drainage issues within the appliance’s defrost system.
Diagnosis: We found a plugged defrost drain in the freezer. When these drains become blocked, water from the defrost cycle has nowhere to go and backs up, eventually leaking out of the refrigerator.
Repair: Work: Cleared a plugged defrost drain in the freezer and installed a tab on the heater to prevent it from happening again · Parts: LAB-REPAIR APPLIANCE · Result: Water leak eliminated with preventive measure in place

Repair: Work: Replaced the heat element and idler pulley, cleaned out the lint from the cabinet and brushed the lint off of the blower veins · Parts: DC97-14486A assembly duct heater, DC93-00634A idler pulley · Result: Dryer now heats properly and operates quietly

Diagnosis: The oven ignitors had gotten weak. When they don’t draw enough amps, the valve won’t open properly. This causes either slow preheat, gas smell while oven is burning or no light at all. This particular oven had 3 ignitors.
Repair: Work: Replaced all three weak ignitors · Parts: 41-204-NORTON OVEN IGNITOR · Result: After replacing them, the oven lights in 15-30 seconds

Reported: The customer reported that the ice maker was not working. The unit had completely stopped producing ice, leaving the family without this essential feature during the summer months.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we discovered the icemaker coating was coming off. When this happens, the water wicks out and freezes on the housing, preventing the ice maker from functioning properly.
Repair: Work: Complete icemaker replacement with new electronic control · Parts: WPW10190961 — icemaker, W10757851 — electronic control · Result: The new ice maker will work quite well

Repair: Work: Diagnostic evaluation of cooling system · Parts: None — fan no longer available · Result: Customer decided to replace the unit
Samsung dryer (DV209AGW/XAA) — Uniontown, OH
Reported: The customer called because their Samsung dryer drum wont turn. The unit would start but the clothes weren’t tumbling at all — a clear sign of a mechanical issue preventing drum rotation.
Diagnosis: Opening up the Samsung DV209AGW/XAA revealed the root cause: the idler pulley was loose and the blower assembly was dragging on the housing and had stopped the motor. The loose pulley allowed the belt to slip, while the misaligned blower created additional resistance that overwhelmed the drive system.
Repair: Work: Tightened the idler pulley assembly and tweaked the frame of the dryer so that it would spin freely · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Drum now rotates properly, though some operational noise remains
Kenmore dryer (110.76642500) — Magnolia, OH
Reported: The customer had just bought the house and wasn’t sure what was going on with the dryer. When they pushed the button, it wouldn’t start. The door light came on when opened, but the switch was loose.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed the door switch had broken. This critical safety component prevents the dryer from starting when the door isn’t properly latched, explaining why the unit wouldn’t respond to the start button despite having power to the door light.

Samsung refrigerator (RF266AEPN) — Canton, OH
Reported: The Samsung fridge was giving an 88 error code where the freezer and fridge temps are displayed.
