Samsung Washer Repair – Alliance, OH (WF350ANW/XAA-00)

We serviced a Samsung washer in Alliance, OH that had no lights or response on user interface. The customer confirmed they could power a drill from the outlet, so we knew the problem was internal. After diagnosis and repair, we found multiple issues with the control system that required both wiring repair and a new main control board.

The Problem

The customer reported no lights or response on user interface. They had already verified the electrical outlet was working by testing it with a power drill, which ruled out any power supply issues to the unit.

Diagnosis

We found that the wiring harness for the user interface to the control board was damaged. After repairing the wiring harness, the machine still was not working. Further testing revealed that the DC voltage from the main control board to the user interface was low — it should have 12 V and it had like 3.5.

The Repair

  • Parts replaced: DC92-00381A — Main PCB Assembly
  • Work performed: Repaired damaged wiring harness for user interface connection, installed new control board
  • Result: Machine filled with water, tumbled/washed, drained and was spinning fine

Is It Worth Repairing?

Samsung front-load washers from this era are generally solid machines worth repairing when the issue is electrical rather than mechanical. Control board failures, while frustrating, are typically one-time issues that restore full function once addressed. This particular repair should provide years of continued service.

Maintenance Tips for Samsung Washers

  • Run a cleaning cycle monthly with Samsung’s recommended washer cleaner to prevent buildup that can stress electrical components
  • Keep the door seal dry between loads to prevent moisture from affecting nearby wiring connections
  • Check that the washer is level periodically — excessive vibration can loosen electrical connections over time
