Diagnosis: We found that the dryer’s ventilation system needed attention. The extended drying times were directly related to restricted airflow, which our inspection confirmed during the service call.

Whirlpool washer (WTW5000DW1) — Akron, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the machine doesn’t spin, though they weren’t certain if it failed to spin at all or just during the dry cycle. This type of intermittent spinning issue is common when internal drive components start to wear out.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed a failed hub assembly. The hub connects the wash basket to the drive system, and when it fails, the washer loses its ability to spin properly during wash and spin cycles.

Samsung refrigerator (FDBM) — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported the refrigerator was not cooling well in the freezer and building up frost. The ice maker had been broken off at some point, and the refrigerator was showing an error code related to this icemaker failure.
Diagnosis: The broken ice maker was causing the error code, which was affecting the refrigerator’s normal operation. The missing ice maker assembly needed to be replaced to restore proper function and clear the error.

Samsung refrigerator (RF28HFEDBSR/AA) — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported their refrigerator was making noise that sounded like a fan hitting something. This type of sound typically indicates mechanical interference in the cooling system.
Diagnosis: We found frost buildup on the evaporator coil that was interfering with the fan operation. There was also a water leakage issue that needed to be resolved to prevent future problems.

Maytag refrigerator (MFI2570FEZ07) — Amsterdam, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Maytag refrigerator was not cooling in either compartment. Both the fresh food and freezer sections had lost their ability to maintain proper temperatures.
Diagnosis: The fridge with the cooling troubles seems to have a freon leak. The compressor is running but it’s not cooling at all. We also found the fridge inside had a frozen water line between the valve and the door.

LG refrigerator (LSXS26366D/02) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their LG refrigerator’s ice maker was leaking water into the cube reservoir and sometime doesn’t make cubes. This intermittent ice production combined with water leakage indicated a control issue with the water supply system.
Diagnosis: The ice maker valve was seeping water when the ice maker was not calling for water. This caused ice blocks to form in the ice maker ice tray. The ice block then prevented the ice maker from cycling property when it was supposed to dump the ice.

Kenmore dishwasher (665.14562N611) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dishwasher was leaking. Mr Appliance had previously told them that replacement parts were unavailable for this model.
Diagnosis: On our first visit, we were unable to find the leak source. We advised the customer to run their normal cycle and call us back when leaking occurred. We also noticed the sink drain backs up when draining and advised them to fix this drainage issue. During the second visit, we identified the lower spray arm as the leak source.

Maytag washer (FRONTLOAD) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the door hinge needed to be replaced on their Maytag front-load washer. They had already purchased the replacement hinge and were looking for professional installation service.
Diagnosis: We confirmed the door hinge required replacement as the customer had identified. With the customer supplying the part, our focus was on proper installation to restore full door function.

Samsung oven/stove (NE59J7630SG) — Canton, OH
Reported: The homeowner noticed their Samsung oven temperature was consistently running about 50 degrees low. If they set it for 350°F, it would beep ready but only reach 250-275°F according to their oven thermometer. The only way to achieve 350°F was to set the oven to 400°F or higher.
Diagnosis: We found that the fan motor was not spinning. The convection fan motor is critical for proper air circulation and even heat distribution throughout the oven cavity. When this motor fails, the oven cannot reach or maintain accurate temperatures.

GE dishwasher (GDT530PGPWW) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer contacted us because their dishwasher don’t work. The existing unit had reached the end of its service life and required replacement.
Diagnosis: After evaluating the existing dishwasher, we determined that installation of a new unit was the most cost-effective solution. The customer had already selected a GE model GDT530PGPWW as the replacement.

Frigidaire Refrigerator; oven/stove (EI23BC35KS7) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the oven was venting steam and exhaust out of one of the control knobs. They were also dealing with the freezer door not sealing correctly on their refrigerator.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, the oven venting in front of the console is normal operation for this Frigidaire model. The freezer door was askew, preventing it from sealing properly.
Repair: Work: Adjusted freezer door alignment · Parts: None required · Result: Freezer door now seals correctly; oven venting explained as normal function
Whirlpool refrigerator (WRF535SWHV00) — Canton, OH
Reported: When the refrigerator cycled, it actually sounded like a ping pong ball bouncing inside the back of the fridge. The customer also heard what sounded like the motor not engaging because you could hear the click of the switches but the motor just hummed.
Diagnosis: The ice maker arm was jammed against a jug of ice cream and the ice maker was stripping out. This explained both the bouncing ball noise and the motor engagement issues the customer was experiencing.
Repair: Work: Since the customer was not using the ice maker, we turned it off and removed the arm to prevent that from happening again · Parts: No parts needed · Result: Issue is resolved and the fridge is good to go
Maytag washer (MVWC200XW1, I LG5701XSW0) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Maytag washer was not spinning out of balance. This prevented the washer from completing its cycle properly, leaving clothes soaked with water.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed multiple failed components affecting the washer’s spin cycle operation. The shifter mechanism was faulty, and the belt, rollers, and coil valves all needed replacement to restore proper function.

Maytag washer (LSE7806ACE) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their washer fills with water but will not wash or agitate. The machine would take on water normally but then sit idle without beginning the wash cycle.
Diagnosis: We found the lid switch had failed. This safety component prevents the washer from agitating when the lid is open, but when it fails, it can also prevent operation even with the lid properly closed.

Samsung washer (WF410ANW/XAA) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer was washing a fairly small load of fabric when it started to make a strange noise, kind of like a grinding noise. The washer would not proceed with the cycle. When they turned it off and tried to just rinse and spin, it just made the same sound.
Diagnosis: The grinding noise and inability to advance through cycles pointed to a drain pump failure. On this 10-year-old Samsung washer, the pump motor had worn out and was seizing up, preventing proper water drainage and cycle completion.

Whirlpool dishwasher (WDT720PADM2) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dishwasher was not washing dishes properly. This is a clear sign that water circulation inside the unit had been compromised.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed the circulation pump had failed. When the circulation pump stops working, water can’t move through the spray arms effectively, leaving dishes dirty even after a full cycle.

Frigidaire refrigerator (GLRS234ZAQ3) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the freezer is cold, but not cold enough to freeze. Food items weren’t staying frozen solid, indicating the freezer compartment wasn’t reaching the proper temperature for safe food storage.
Diagnosis: We checked compressor, fan, thermostat, etc. After thorough testing of all cooling system components, we determined low refrigerant was the root cause of the temperature issue.

Electrolux washer (EFLS527UTT0) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported error code E 21 appearing on their Electrolux washer. The wash machine stops at 8 minutes, which is in the final spin and it will not drain. Water was definitely sitting in the machine.
Diagnosis: We found crud blocking the coin trap and suspected the drain pump needed replacement. After clearing the trap and installing a new pump, the problem persisted due to air being trapped in the pump system.
Repair: Work: Cleared crud from the coin trap and installed a new drain pump. Removed check valve which allows air to escape out the drain hose. · Parts: 5304514775 — Pump Assembly · Result: Problem still persisted. Customer will contact Electrolux. Issued refund for service call and labor.
Whirlpool refrigerator (ET21PKXGW02) — Homeworth, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their refrigerator was leaking water. The water was coming down the back of inside and running down under the crisper drawers.
Diagnosis: We found the defrost drain was blocked, preventing normal drainage during the defrost cycle. When the defrost drain clogs, melted ice has nowhere to go and backs up into the refrigerator compartment instead of flowing to the drain pan underneath.
Repair: Work: Cleared the defrost drain and installed a heat probe to prevent it from happening again · Parts: 819043-HEAT-PROBE — heat probe · Result: Refrigerator now drains properly without water leaking inside
Samsung Washer; dryer (HTW200ASK1WW) — Homeworth, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their dryer no longer heated up, leaving clothes damp after full cycles. Additionally, the washer did not spin as fast so clothes were still wet when transferred to the dryer, compounding the laundry problems.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed a failed heat element assembly in the dryer that was no longer producing heat. The washing machine transmission had also failed, preventing proper spin speeds during the final spin cycle. Both units required major component replacements to restore full functionality.

Samsung dryer (DVE55M9600W/A3) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Samsung dryer continuously runs without stopping. The unit would not recognize when cycles should end, creating a frustrating situation where the dryer had to be manually turned off.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed the main control board was malfunctioning. This critical component manages all dryer operations including cycle timing and automatic shutoff functions. When the control board fails, it cannot properly signal the end of drying cycles.

Reported: The customer reported their oven not heating and noted that a code showed F9 on the display. This prevented the oven from reaching proper cooking temperatures.
Diagnosis: The F9 error code on this LG model typically indicates an ignitor failure. We confirmed the ignitor was no longer functioning properly, preventing the gas valve from opening to allow heating.

Kenmore washer (110.47701800) — Minerva, OH
Reported: The customer called about their washer making noise when spinning. This type of noise during the spin cycle typically indicates worn suspension components or bearing problems.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the tub support seems to be giving out. The tub support system is critical for holding the wash basket steady during operation, and when it fails, the entire assembly becomes unstable and noisy.

Frigidaire range/cooktop (FGF366CCD) — Minerva, OH
Reported: The customer reported their oven won’t light. This is a common issue with gas ranges where the ignition system fails to create the spark needed to light the gas burner in the oven cavity.
Diagnosis: Our technician diagnosed a failed oven ignitor. The ignitor is responsible for creating the electrical spark that ignites the gas when you turn on the oven. When this component fails, the oven won’t light and cannot heat properly.

Reported: The customer reported that the board and drain had been replaced, but the machine powers on but will not operate. Despite having power, the washer wouldn’t start any cycle functions.
Diagnosis: The LED lock had failed, which affects the filling, washing and spinning of the machine. We also discovered that one of the rubber snubbers on the top corner of the basket had broken.

Whirlpool dishwasher (WDF530PLYB0, GD5RVAXVB01) — New Philadelphia, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dishwasher won’t wash. When we arrived, the unit appeared to receive power but wouldn’t begin its wash cycle when the door was closed and the controls were activated.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed a faulty door latch assembly. The latch mechanism wasn’t properly engaging when the door was closed, which prevented the dishwasher’s safety system from allowing the wash cycle to begin.

Admiral dryer — New Philadelphia, OH
Reported: The customer reported that when they hit start, the dryer made a chug and clunk sound, but the drum was not turning. They suspected the belt had torn, which turned out to be partially correct.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found that the belt had indeed torn, but that wasn’t the only issue. The plastic bearing slide assembly was also worn and needed replacement. This combination of failures was causing the drum to stop turning and creating the unusual sounds the customer heard.

Kenmore refrigerator (106.51799410) — North Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Kenmore refrigerator was not cooling. This is a critical issue that can lead to food spoilage and requires immediate attention to restore proper temperature control.
Diagnosis: During our inspection, we found the thermostat had failed and needed replacement. We also discovered a water line leaking that required new ferrell and insert components to seal properly.

Samsung oven/stove (NX58H5600SS/AA) — North Canton, OH
Reported: The issue was a light flicker on a Samsung oven. The customer contacted us through their landlord to address this electrical problem that was disrupting normal use of the appliance.
Diagnosis: Our inspection identified the door switch as the source of the flickering light. The door plunger switch had failed, causing intermittent electrical contact that resulted in the lighting issue.

Reported: The customer called because their refrigerator wasn’t cooling properly top and bottom. This type of complaint typically indicates a serious cooling system issue affecting both the fresh food and freezer sections.
Diagnosis: Upon arrival at the scheduled appointment time, we found the fridge was cooling correctly. The refrigerator appeared to be maintaining proper temperatures in both compartments with no obvious signs of malfunction.

Maytag dishwasher (MDB5100AWB) — Sebring, OH

Reported: The customer reported no water and ice from fridge after replacing water valve. This type of issue often occurs when a water valve replacement doesn’t fully resolve the underlying problem or creates new complications in the water delivery system.
Diagnosis: Our technician investigated the water and ice dispensing system following the recent water valve replacement. The diagnosis focused on identifying why the new valve installation wasn’t restoring proper water flow to both the dispenser and ice maker.

Reported: The customer reported that the oven does not always go to the correct temperature nor does it always keep the temperature. In addition the light does not work and they could not find a replacement light.
Diagnosis: Temperature regulation problems in Frigidaire ovens typically point to control board failure. The control board manages the heating elements and temperature sensors, so when it starts malfunctioning, you get inconsistent heating cycles and inaccurate temperature control.

Reported: One of the cooling vents wasn’t blowing cold air. So half the fridge was warm and the other half was working overtime to cool.
Diagnosis: The fan in the fridge had failed. Without proper air circulation from the evaporator fan, cold air couldn’t distribute evenly throughout the refrigerator compartment, causing the temperature imbalance the customer experienced.
