A Whirlpool washer in Canton, OH wouldn’t fill up when the lid is locked. Our diagnostic revealed multiple error codes pointing to main control board failure, though additional mechanical issues couldn’t be ruled out due to the electrical problems.

The Problem

The customer reported that their Whirlpool washer won’t fill up when the lid is locked. This prevented the normal wash cycle from starting properly.

Diagnosis

The washer was displaying error codes F7E9 and F2E1. The main control board appears to be faulty and is not currently available. Also possible that the bearings are bad in the machine, but I’m unable to test it with the control board being faulty.
