Maytag dryer (MEDC215EW1) — Alliance, OH

Reported: The dryer was plugged in but wouldn’t operate at all. This was actually a return visit — we had replaced the same thermal fuse just a month earlier.

Diagnosis: The thermal fuse had blown again. This can happen just from wear and tear or as a result of a plugged vent. Given that we replaced this exact part recently, the repeat failure strongly indicated the vent system remained blocked.

Repair: Work: Installed new thermal fuse · Parts: WP3392519 — thermal fuse · Result: Dryer restored to operation, though underlying vent issue remains

Whirlpool dishwasher — Alliance, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the latch was not staying closed on their Whirlpool dishwasher. This would prevent the dishwasher from operating properly since the door latch is a critical safety component.

Diagnosis: Unfortunately, we were unable to complete the diagnosis since no one was home at the time of the scheduled appointment. We had texted when on the way as requested but found no one available at 865 Knox School Road.

Repair: Work: Left business card at door after finding no one home · Parts: No parts were used during this visit · Result: Service appointment will need to be rescheduled

Samsung dryer (DV220AEW/XAA) — Alliance, OH

Reported: The customer reported their Samsung dryer would shut down before the end of the cycle after drying for only a short period. This intermittent failure made it impossible to complete normal drying cycles.

Diagnosis: Testing revealed the control board was cutting out and killing power to the machine. The electronic control system was failing intermittently, causing the unexpected shutdowns during operation.

Repair: Work: Diagnosed failing control board · Parts: None — control board no longer available · Result: Customer opted to replace the unit due to part unavailability

Whirlpool Washer; dryer (Washer-wtw700dwo. Dryer-nde8805ayw) — Atwater, OH

Repair: Work: Replaced the failed control board and idler pulley assembly · Parts: W10812423 control board (washer), WP37001287 idler lever assembly (dryer) · Result: After replacing the board, the washer is operating correctly and the idler pulley replacement resolved the dryer noise

Reported: The customer reported their Samsung washer was displaying an E4 or 4E error. This prevented the washer from operating normally as the unit couldn’t receive adequate water supply to begin wash cycles.

Diagnosis: We found the inlet screens on the washer were clogged with debris and sediment. These screens filter incoming water but become blocked over time, triggering the E4/4E error code when water flow is restricted.

Repair: Work: Clean the inlet screens on the washer. Installed new dryer vent lint screen in the dryer and tested the vent. · Parts: DC61-02595A — case filter · Result: Error code cleared and washer resumed normal operation

LG washer (WM3570HWA) — Canton, OH

Reported: The washer was sending an error code called PE, which indicated a water level sensor problem. This error prevents the washer from operating properly because it can’t accurately detect water levels during the wash cycle.

Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed that water valves and inlet hose were leaking. These leaks were compromising the pressure system that the water level sensor relies on to function correctly. The dispenser drawer also showed signs of wear that required replacement.

Repair: Work: Replaced both water inlet valves, fill hoses and pressure sensor. Also replaced the dispenser drawer · Parts: 5220FR2075L valve, 5220FR2006H valve assembly (hot), 6601ER1006E pressure switch assembly, multiple inlet hoses (5214ER4001B, MEJ62505602, 5214ER4003F, MEJ62524901), 4932ER4008B connector hose, 4925ER1015K dispenser assembly, ACV72909503 damper assembly friction · Result: PE error code cleared and washer resumed normal operation

Reported: The customer reported their refrigerator was not cooling well. This symptom typically indicates reduced efficiency in the cooling system, which can stem from several causes including dirty coils, failing components, or refrigerant issues.

Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the condenser coils were heavily soiled with dust and debris. Dirty condenser coils force the compressor to work harder and longer to achieve the same cooling effect, reducing overall efficiency and temperature control.

Repair: Work: Cleaned the condenser coils · Parts: None required · Result: Function of refrigerator appeared to be working properly otherwise

Whirlpool Washer; dryer (RGD4440VQ1) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported their gas dryer was spinning but not heating. The drum would tumble clothes normally, but no heat was being generated during the cycle.

Diagnosis: Testing revealed the gas valve coil packs had failed. These electromagnetic coils control the gas valves that allow fuel to flow to the burner assembly. When they fail, the dryer operates mechanically but cannot ignite the gas for heat production.

Diagnosis: Testing revealed two separate failures: the agitator dogs had worn out, which prevented the agitator from engaging and moving during the wash cycle. Additionally, the timer had developed a bad spot on the selector dial, affecting cycle operation and potentially causing erratic behavior.

Repair: Work: Replaced the timer and agitator dogs · Parts: WP8577356 timer and 80040 agitator dogs · Result: Agitator operates properly and timer functions correctly through all cycles

KitchenAid dishwasher — Canton, OH

Admiral oven/stove (Gallery ES) — Canton, OH

Reported: The customer reported a gas smell when the oven was turned on. This is a safety concern that required immediate attention, as gas odors can indicate incomplete combustion or delayed ignition.

Diagnosis: The igniter was weak. This caused the burner to take longer to light and also burn poorly. A weak igniter doesn’t generate enough heat to open the gas valve promptly, leading to gas accumulation and the odor the customer detected.

Repair: Work: Replaced the weak igniter with a new ignitor kit · Parts: 5303935066 — Ignitor OVEN KIT W/NUT · Result: After replacing the burner, the issue is resolved

Repair: Work: Diagnostic assessment of clutch and frame condition · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: We would recommend replacement rather than repair

Maytag refrigerator (Asd2626hew) — Homeworth, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the freezer is cold but fridge is not cooling well. This is a classic symptom of restricted airflow between the freezer and refrigerator compartments.

Diagnosis: The evaporator was frozen over. When ice builds up on the evaporator coils, it blocks the airflow that carries cold air from the freezer to the fresh food section, leaving the refrigerator warm while the freezer continues to work.

Repair: Work: Reset the refrigerator and performed a force defrost · Parts: None · Result: All functions tested normal after the defrost cycle

Whirlpool refrigerator (Wrx735sDBm00) — Malvern, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the refrigerator ice-maker is leaking water. Water was escaping from the ice-maker compartment, creating a mess inside the freezer.
