Repairs completed the week of October 13, 2025 across Alliance, Atwater, Canton, Carrollton, Eakly, East Canton and more.
Whirlpool washer (WFW9400SZ00) — Alliance, OH
Reported: When the start button was pressed, the machine wouldn’t start. The washer showed no response to the start command, making it completely unusable for laundry.
Diagnosis: We discovered the dispenser actuator was stuck. This component controls the dispensing mechanism, and when it’s stuck in position, it can prevent the entire wash cycle from initiating.
Repair: Work: Freed the stuck dispenser actuator · Parts: None required · Result: Machine now starts properly when start button is pressed
Kenmore oven/stove (790.92802014) — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer reported their oven was heating slowly and had been informed the hidden heating element needed replaced. They expected a straightforward element swap to restore normal heating performance.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we discovered the actual issue wasn’t the heating element at all. The control board was burnt, which explained the slow heating symptoms. A damaged control board can’t properly regulate power to the heating elements, causing erratic or sluggish performance.
Whirlpool washer (WTW8200YWO) — Alliance, OH
Reported: The customer contacted us about their Whirlpool washer with symptoms they couldn’t easily describe over the phone. These vague complaints often point to unusual mechanical issues that need hands-on diagnosis.
Diagnosis: During our October 19th service call, we discovered the motor rotor was loose. After tightening it, the washer still wouldn’t operate properly. Further testing revealed the unit needed a new motor sensor and lower wiring harness — multiple expensive components in the motor assembly had failed.
GE refrigerator (GFE28GMKBES) — Atwater, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the freezer works fine, but the refrigerator will not cool down to 35°. The inside temperature was 50°. When opening the door and pushing the button to turn the light out, there was no sound of anything running inside, indicating the internal circulation fan may be out.
Diagnosis: This is a very common issue with this style of GE refrigerator. The fresh food evaporator fan had failed completely. Several years ago GE issued a software update with the fan motor, but now they just send the fan assembly without the software update. The common symptoms of this problem are the refrigerator not cooling while the freezer operates properly. Sometimes there will be frost built up in the lower portion of the refrigerator compartment.
Repair: Work: Installed new fresh food evaporator fan · Parts: WR60X26866 — fresh food evaporator fan assembly · Result: Issue is resolved, refrigerator cooling properly
GE refrigerator — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer contacted us because their ice maker isn’t producing ice. This is a common issue with GE refrigerators where the ice maker assembly fails to cycle properly.

Whirlpool dryer (WGD9400SU0, 106.58173702) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their dryer won’t turn on and displays error code F-01, which seems like a controller card needs replacement. This was particularly concerning since we had just completed a previous repair on the same unit.
Diagnosis: The F-01 error code on this Whirlpool model WGD9400SU0 indicates a failed electronic control board. When the control board fails, the dryer loses its ability to process commands and manage the drying cycles, resulting in a complete inability to start.
Repair: Work: Removed the failed control board and installed the replacement · Parts: WPW10110641 — electronic control board · Result: Dryer now starts normally with no error codes displayed
GE range (RB755GN6WH) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the timer will not stop going off when the stove is plugged in. It was currently unplugged as that was the only way to make the noise stop.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection of the GE range, we found that the timer has failed. This component controls the audible alerts for cooking functions, and when it malfunctions, it can create continuous noise that only stops when the unit is unplugged from power.
Repair: Work: Diagnostic service call to identify failed timer · Parts: None at this visit · Result: Provided repair quote to warranty company
Whirlpool refrigerator (WRF736SDAM13) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their refrigerator won’t get colder than 45 degrees. This temperature issue was preventing proper food preservation and causing concern about spoilage.
Diagnosis: We entered the manual diagnostic mode of the computer on the refrigerator and were unable to get it to cycle properly. The damper assembly was stuck shut and not opening or closing, which prevented proper airflow between the freezer and refrigerator compartments.
Repair: Work: Installed new damper assembly · Parts: WPW10479155 — damper assembly which included the thermistor · Result: In manual mode, damper opens and closes and registers correctly. Issues resolved and the refrigerator is cooling properly.

Reported: The customer reported that their washer will not turn on. No lights, no response to button presses, and no power indication whatsoever when attempting to operate the machine.
Diagnosis: Testing confirmed the user interface had completely failed. The control panel was not communicating with the washer’s main control board, preventing any operation of the machine.
Repair: Work: Replaced the user interface · Parts: W10914560 — Console · Result: After installing the new one, its operating correctly
Admiral washer (Gallery) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their washer won’t drain. Water was staying in the tub at the end of wash cycles, leaving clothes soaked and the machine unable to complete its program.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed the issue was with the drain pump’s coin trap. This component had accumulated enough debris to block water flow completely, causing the drainage failure.
Repair: Work: Cleaned the coin trap out on the drain pump · Parts: None required · Result: Washer is now draining correctly
Samsung dryer (DV48H7400EW/A2) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Samsung dryer won’t dry. The unit would run through cycles but clothes remained damp even after extended run times.

Repair: Work: Replaced the ice auger motor, cleaned burners on stove, replaced the top on front, left burner and demonstrated how to light gas grill · Parts: W10271509 — ice auger motor, WB29K10023 — gas range medium burner · Result: Ice maker now dispenses properly, stove burners operate cleanly, customer understands grill operation
Frigidaire refrigerator (LFTR2032TF0) — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the refrigerator doesn’t seem cool and we have water on top shelf, the freezer doesn’t seem to have issue. This combination of symptoms typically points to an airflow problem within the refrigeration system.
Diagnosis: Our inspection confirmed that the unit needs evaporator fan. When the evaporator fan fails, cold air from the freezer section can’t circulate properly to the refrigerator compartment, leading to inadequate cooling and condensation issues.
Admiral oven/stove (EW30EF65GSH) — Canton, OH
Reported: The range was emitting a beeping sound and displaying an e-15 error message. The customer was unable to use the burners due to this malfunction. Unplugging the range would reset it, but the issue would happen again.
Diagnosis: After examining the Admiral range, we determined that the user interface had failed. This component controls the display and input functions for the entire appliance, which explained both the error code and the inability to operate the burners.
Repair: Work: Diagnosed failed user interface · Parts: None · Result: Due to the cost of the repair, the customer decided to likely replace the stove
Admiral refrigerator — Canton, OH
Reported: The customer had multiple fridges in storage, each with multiple problems that would require extensive evaluation and repair work.

Repair: Work: Assessment and consultation · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Customer advised on best course of action
Whirlpool refrigerator (ET1PHKXPT00) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the defrost drain was plugged and the coils needed cleaning on their Whirlpool refrigerator.

Repair: Work: Installed defrost heat probe and leveled the refrigerator · Parts: 819043-HEAT-PROBE — defrost heat probe · Result: Refrigerator restored to proper defrost operation and drainage
Admiral refrigerator (PDS22SCPBRSS) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the ice maker was not working and that a reset did not resolve the issue. The unit was completely unresponsive and no ice production was occurring.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed that the water valve had failed, blocking water flow to the ice maker. Without proper water supply, the ice maker cannot cycle through its normal operation to produce ice cubes.
Repair: Work: Replaced water valve and re-installed the water filter · Parts: Water valve · Result: Ice maker restored to normal operation with proper water flow
Samsung washer (WF42H5200AF/A2) — Carrollton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Samsung washer was not spinning or draining water. They had already checked the coin trap themselves before calling for service.
Diagnosis: We found a couple of beer bottle lids and a sock plugging the discharge hose from the drum to the pump. This blockage prevented proper water drainage and spin cycle operation.
Repair: Work: Removed beer bottle lids and sock from discharge hose · Parts: None required · Result: Operation is normal and symptoms are resolved
GE refrigerator (GSE26GGEBCBB) — Eakly, OH
Reported: The water reservoir is leaking. The customer had already attempted to order a replacement part from an online retailer, but they shipped a control board instead of the water tank.

GE dishwasher — Homeworth, OH
Reported: The customer reported their dishwasher was leaking water around the water valve. Water leaks around the inlet valve typically indicate internal seal failure or valve housing damage that allows water to escape during fill cycles.
Diagnosis: Our inspection confirmed the water valve was the source of the leak. The inlet valve controls water flow into the dishwasher during wash cycles, and when these components fail, water can leak from the connection points or valve body itself.
Repair: Work: Replaced the water valve on dishwasher · Parts: WD15X10003 — Water Valve Inlet · Result: Leak eliminated, proper water flow restored
Frigidaire freezer (FFU1464DW2) — Homeworth, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their unit flips GFCI. This is a clear sign of an electrical short somewhere in the freezer’s circuitry that’s causing the ground fault circuit interrupter to trip for safety.
Diagnosis: Heat element was shorted. When a defrost heater develops an internal short to ground, it creates exactly this type of GFCI tripping issue. The electrical fault triggers the safety mechanism every time the freezer attempts to operate.
Repair: Work: Sold customer new element to install · Parts: 5304496687 — defrost heater · Result: Customer received replacement part for installation
Samsung dryer (DV40J3000EW/A2) — Louisville, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Samsung dryer was heating just not spinning. The unit would start a cycle and generate heat, but the drum remained stationary throughout the cycle.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the original idler pulley was bent. This component maintains proper belt tension around the drum, and when damaged, it prevents the belt from engaging properly with the motor pulley system.
Repair: Work: Replaced the bent idler pulley with a new one · Parts: DC93-00634A — idler pulley · Result: Issue resolved and dryer operating correctly
KitchenAid range (KGRS505XSS04) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The customer reported that neither of the ovens work, though the stove works but not the ovens. This is a common failure pattern in double oven ranges where both igniter elements reach the end of their service life around the same time.
Diagnosis: Testing confirmed both bake igniters had failed. When igniters weaken, they can’t draw enough current to open the gas valve, preventing the oven from lighting. The stovetop burners operate independently with their own ignition system, which explained why they continued working normally.
Repair: Work: Replaced bake igniters in both ovens · Parts: WP7432P143-60 and WPW10324738 — bake igniters for both ovens · Result: Both ovens now heat properly and maintain temperature
