A customer in Navarre called about their Amana washer that wouldn’t fill or rinse. When we opened up the machine, we found the water inlet valve had failed completely, cutting off water flow to the tub.
The Problem
The customer reported their washer wont fill and wont rinse. The machine would start its cycle but no water would enter the tub during any phase of operation.
Diagnosis
Testing revealed the water inlet valve was no longer opening when the control board sent the signal. This valve controls all water flow into the washer, so when it fails, the machine can’t complete any wash or rinse cycles.
