Diagnosis: We found the dishwasher leaking from the wash pump at the sump. The wash pump failure explains both the water leak and the poor cleaning performance — without proper water circulation, detergent pods can’t dissolve completely and dishes won’t get clean.

Reported: The laundromat owner reported several issues: Dryer 17 runs forever once you put a quarter in, dryer 1 magnet on door came off, Wasco 30 sticks on rinse, Dexter 28 coin drop back attachment fell off, and hot water valve concerns on Dexters t600 and t900. Multiple units were down or malfunctioning.

Westinghouse dryer (MDG546REW0) — Sherrodsville, OH

Reported: The customer reported that the dryer runs but doesn’t heat up. They had already taken the front off and cleaned it out and checked that the exhaust was not plugged, eliminating the most common causes of heating issues.

Diagnosis: The flame sensor had failed in an unusual way. The rivet that held the one terminal to the back of the flame sensor was cracked behind the terminal. It wasn’t possible to see it without breaking it apart, but it did not have continuity so we replaced it.

Repair: Work: Replaced the failed flame sensor and installed a new belt and gas valve coil packs while the machine was apart · Parts: WP338906 — flame sensor, 134503600 — dryer belt, 279834 — gas valve coil packs · Result: The dryer is heating and operating correctly

Whirlpool dishwasher — Uniontown, OH

Reported: There was standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher. The customer guessed it might be clogged but wasn’t sure what was causing the drainage issue.

Diagnosis: We located an obstruction in the dishwasher drain hose that was preventing proper water drainage. This blockage caused water to remain pooled in the bottom of the unit after wash cycles.

Repair: Work: Cleared an obstruction in the dishwasher drain hose · Result: Water now drains properly from the dishwasher
