A Whirlpool dishwasher at a home on Glenhill Ave NE in Canton, OH was reported to be leaking and not draining. Samuel visited the address to inspect the unit and found a split lower spray arm along with a rack clip lodged in the bottom of the sump. The dishwasher passed an auto diagnostic test during the visit, and the customer was advised to replace the lower spray arm to address the issue.

The Repair
Lower spray on a split. Clip from upper dishwasher rack was in bottom of sump. It’s quite possible that the spray was jammed in a position where it was spraying out the door through the split. Unable to replicate leak or drain issue currently. Unit successfully passed Auto diagnostic test. Customer to purchase new lower spray arm and replace it. If they continue having issues, it may be best to invest in a new unit.
