Whirlpool Refrigerator Repair – ALLIANCE, OH (WRF540CWHZ11)

A Whirlpool refrigerator at a home on Wentz Ave NE in Alliance, OH was producing a noise from the bottom freezer drawer area whenever the drawer was closed, with the sound stopping each time the drawer was opened. Samuel visited the home to diagnose the issue and traced the noise to the icemaker, which was still attempting to cycle despite being shut off, due to a stripped drive motor. After unplugging the icemaker, which the customer was not using, the noise stopped and the refrigerator was back in working order with no parts needed.

Icemaker was shut off, but still trying to cycle around. Drive motor on icemaker was stripped. Customer is not using icemaker. Unplugged icemaker, noise went away. Good to go.
