The Sears store at Belden Village Mall in Canton, Ohio opened in 1970 as one of the mall’s original anchor tenants. That store is permanently closed — the space is now occupied by Hot Pot Korean BBQ. The Sears Appliance and Hardware Store at 843 30th Street NW in Canton is also gone, replaced by a True Value Hardware. The Tallmadge location is closed. Every physical Sears retail presence in the immediate area has closed as part of Sears Holdings’ bankruptcy and nationwide store closure program.
What Sears Home Services Is — and Isn’t
Sears Home Services still exists as a national call center and dispatch operation. It’s operated by TransformCo — the company that acquired Sears’ assets through the 2018 bankruptcy. Service is dispatched through A&E Factory Service, a TransformCo subsidiary that operates approximately 3,400 technicians nationally.
There is no Sears Home Services office in Canton. No Sears technician is based in Stark County. The location pages Sears Home Services maintains for Canton, Tallmadge, and surrounding communities list former store addresses, but those stores are gone. When you call a Sears Home Services number, you reach a national call center, not someone in your community.

Kenmore was never a manufacturer. The brand name was applied to appliances built by Whirlpool, LG, and Frigidaire under private-label contracts with Sears. The model number label is usually inside the door frame on washers and dryers, on the interior side wall of refrigerators, or on the frame around the oven door on ranges.
