Kitchenaid Range Repair – Uniontown, OH (KFGD500ESS04)

On a service call to Kings Arms Circle NW in Uniontown, OH, Samuel Willhite looked into a KitchenAid range producing an intense, high flame burst on ignition. The burner cap was manually realigned to partially improve light-off, but full correction was not possible without parts replacement, and the customer chose to continue using the range as-is for now.

The Problem

One of the gas stove top ranges will ignite intensely. Causing the initial flame burst out quite high.
It was recommended to have a professional look at it.

The Repair

Front left surface burner sporadic delayed ignition. Burner cap/head not removable for cleaning — fasteners to burner base under cooktop are seized; removal risks breakage requiring full burner assembly replacement. Manual realignment of cap improved light-off partially but did not fully correct. Advised customer of repair scope. Customer elected to continue using as-is at this time.
