Repair record › GE ranges
We've repaired 23 GE ranges for this problem between May 2019 and October 2026. This is what was actually wrong, counted from our own job records.
Of the 23 GE ranges we've repaired for "oven not heating", the most common cause was: bake element burned out (7 jobs, 30%), followed by oven igniter failed (6) and oven igniter too weak (3). The parts we replaced most often were oven igniter, bake element, surface element.
Seen once each: loose electrical outlet connection, surface element failed, control board failed, burner control switch failed, improper propane conversion.
One repair can replace more than one part, so these add up to more than the number of jobs.
