A customer on Homeland Avenue Northeast in Louisville called about their LG washer that wouldn’t power on. When we opened up the WM5000HVA, we found the main board was getting 120V but the user interface was unresponsive despite having DC voltage.

The Problem

The washer wouldn’t power on at all. No lights, no response when pressing buttons — completely dead from the customer’s perspective.

Main board had 120 to it. UI has dc voltage to it but unresponsive. The main board was receiving power but couldn’t communicate with the user interface, leaving the washer unable to start any cycles.

• Work performed: Replaced main board and ui
• Result: Good to go
