Reported: When we turn it on to run, after a few minutes the OE light comes on. We have cleaned the filter and cleaned the hoses. Still coming on.
Diagnosis: The OE error code on LG dishwashers indicates a drainage issue. Since the customer had already cleaned the filter and hoses, we tested the drain pump motor assembly and found it was no longer functioning properly, preventing water from draining out of the tub.
Repair: Work: Replaced the drain pump · Parts: EAU62043401 — Motor Assembly (drain pump) · Result: Issue is resolved and operation is normal
Whirlpool oven/stove (5F315PEMWO) — Akron, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their cook top works but the oven and broiler does not work. This is a common pattern when the ignitor fails — the surface burners operate independently while the oven cannot light properly.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed the oven ignitor had failed. When an oven ignitor goes bad, it cannot generate enough heat to open the gas valve, preventing the oven and broiler from lighting while leaving the cooktop unaffected.
Repair: Work: Replaced the oven ignitor · Parts: 5303935066 — Ignitor oven kit with nut · Result: Issue is resolved
LG washer (WM3360HVCA) — Akron, OH
Reported: When trying to start washer it gives de error code. Tried resetting washer and have continued to get this code. The DE error on LG washers indicates a door lock issue — the machine won’t start if it can’t verify the door is properly secured.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed multiple door components had failed. The door hinge assembly was damaged, preventing proper door alignment. The door latch mechanism was also faulty, unable to engage correctly with the strike. These combined failures triggered the persistent DE error code.
Repair: Work: Replaced the door hinge and associated hardware as well as the door latch · Parts: EBF49827801 locker switch, AEH71610401 hinge assembly, MDQ58114101 frame door (inner), AGM73409001 parts assembly · Result: Issue is resolved

Reported: The customer reported water leaking out the bottom of their GE GTWN8250D0WS washer. This type of leak typically indicates an internal seal failure rather than a simple hose connection issue.
Diagnosis: Upon inspection, we found the tub seal was leaking. This seal sits between the outer tub and transmission, preventing water from escaping during the wash and spin cycles. When this seal fails, water leaks directly onto the floor beneath the washer.
Repair: Work: Diagnosed tub seal failure · Parts: None — tub seal replacement requires extensive disassembly · Result: Recommended replacement due to catastrophic failure
Maytag dryer (MDE6000AYW) — Louisville, OH
Reported: The electric dryer gets extremely hot and shuts down after about 20 mins and will not finish a cycle. The customer had already checked for lint or hidden items, airflow and blockages.

Whirlpool washer (Duet WFW9200SQ00) — Louisville, OH
Reported: The customer reported they kept getting a F20 code on their Whirlpool Duet washer. This error typically appears when the machine cannot detect adequate water flow into the tub.
Diagnosis: Testing revealed the flow sensor was malfunctioning and not properly reading water flow rates. The F20 code was triggering because the washer’s control board couldn’t verify that water was entering the machine at the expected rate.
Repair: Work: Replaced the flow sensor · Parts: WPW10110225 — flow sensor · Result: Machine successfully passed automatic diagnostic
Whirlpool refrigerator (ET18GKXHW00) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The homeowner reported dripping water down inside wall. This was creating moisture issues inside the refrigerator compartment and potentially damaging food storage areas.
Diagnosis: The defrost drain had plugged. This caused water to leak from the freezer through the vent into the refrigerator. The blocked drain prevented normal water drainage during the defrost cycle, forcing melted ice to find alternative paths through the appliance.
Repair: Work: Cleared the obstruction and installed a part to prevent it from happening again · Parts: 819043-HEAT-PROBE · Result: Operation is normal
Admiral Washer; dryer (WASHER. LWA30AW. Dryer. MDG5500AQW) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The Amana washer keeps running through all the cycles and won’t stop after the first. Sometimes on the first setting it won’t drain and will just stop mid cycle with resting water in it. The dryer is working and has heat, but just doesn’t seem to be drying as fast as normal, taking about 55 minutes for what would normally take 35 minutes.
Diagnosis: The washer’s timer mechanism had failed, causing it to continue cycling instead of advancing properly through the wash sequence. The drainage issue occurred when the timer couldn’t signal the pump to activate at the correct intervals. For the dryer, the gas valve coil packs had weakened, restricting gas flow and reducing heat output despite the unit still producing some heat.
Repair: Work: Replaced coil packs on dryer gas valve · Parts: 279834-COIL-VALVE for dryer gas valve · Result: Dryer now heats properly and returns to normal drying times
Amana washer (NTW4705EW0) — Massillon, OH

Repair: Work: Diagnostic inspection · Parts: No parts recorded · Result: Washer appears to be cycling correctly
Samsung dishwasher (DW7933LRASR) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their Samsung dishwasher was giving an over-water level error signal. This error typically indicates the dishwasher is detecting more water than expected in the wash tub.
Diagnosis: The issue was caused by not hot enough water. This causes junk to build up in the lines and port of the dishwasher. The insufficient water temperature prevented proper cleaning action and allowed debris to accumulate in critical areas of the dishwasher’s water circulation system.
Repair: Work: Ran dishwasher cleaner through the unit · Parts: No parts needed · Result: It appeared to be cycling correctly after the cleaning process
GE washer (GTWN4250D1WS) — Massillon, OH
Reported: The customer reported their GE washer just clicks instead of agitating or spinning. The machine would start a cycle but wouldn’t move the clothes or extract water during the spin phase.
Diagnosis: Our inspection revealed a bad motor. The motor had failed internally, preventing it from driving the agitator during wash cycles or spinning the drum for water extraction.
Repair: Work: Diagnosed bad motor · Parts: None — customer opted for new washer · Result: Customer chose replacement over repair
Frigidaire oven/stove (FGF348KSR) — Minerva, OH
Reported: The customer reported that their gas stove was leaking and had already shut off the gas to the stove for safety. This was the right call — gas leaks require immediate action and professional repair.

Repair: Work: Reconnected the gas line with pipe dope · Result: The leak issue is resolved
Frigidaire freezer (Upright) — Minerva, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Frigidaire upright freezer was not freezing the food. Food items were staying at unsafe temperatures, creating a food safety concern.
Diagnosis: We tested the temperature control system and found the cold control thermostat assembly had failed. This component regulates when the compressor cycles on and off to maintain freezing temperatures. When it fails, the freezer can’t maintain the proper cold temperature needed to keep food frozen.
Repair: Work: Installed a new cold control thermostat assembly · Parts: 5304513033 — cold control thermostat assembly · Result: Issue is resolved — freezer now maintains proper freezing temperatures
Kenmore washer (110.26422503.) — Minerva, OH
Reported: The customer reported no cold water coming into their Kenmore washer. The machine would run through its cycles, but only hot water was entering the tub during fills.
Diagnosis: We tested the water inlet system and found the cold water valve had failed internally. The valve wasn’t opening when the washer called for cold water, preventing proper temperature control during wash cycles.
Repair: Work: Replaced the cold water valve · Parts: 285805 — cold water valve · Result: Cold water flow restored, washer operating normally
Admiral washer (WBB4500G2WW) — Minerva, OH
Reported: The customer contacted us because their Admiral washer had stopped filling with cold water completely. Hot water was still working normally, but any cycle requiring cold water wouldn’t start properly.
Diagnosis: We found the cold water valve screen was plugged. This small mesh filter prevents debris from entering the washer’s water inlet valve, but when it becomes clogged with sediment and mineral buildup, it blocks water flow entirely.
Repair: Work: Cleaned the plugged cold water valve screen · Parts: None – cleaning repair only · Result: Cold water flow restored to normal operation
Kenmore refrigerator (198.717641) — Minerva, OH
Reported: The customer reported their Kenmore refrigerator makes a humming noise and then doesn’t kick on. This classic symptom typically points to compressor issues — the heart of any refrigeration system.
Diagnosis: Testing confirmed the compressor has failed. When a compressor tries to start but can’t achieve proper operation, it draws excessive current while producing that characteristic humming sound before the overload protection shuts it down.
Repair: Work: Compressor failure diagnosis · Parts: None — unit beyond economical repair · Result: Recommended replacement due to repair costs exceeding unit value
Maytag refrigerator (MFX2570AEMO) — Mt. Eaton, OH
Reported: The customer reported their refrigerator was not cooling freezer or fridge. It was running and they could hear a clicking sound that sounded like a fan or something running but not the compressor.
Diagnosis: The clicking sound combined with no compressor operation pointed directly to a failed start relay. This component is responsible for giving the compressor the electrical boost it needs to start up. When it fails, you get that characteristic clicking as it tries repeatedly to start the compressor but can’t deliver the power needed.
Repair: Work: Replaced the start relay · Parts: WPW10197428 — start relay · Result: Compressor started properly and refrigerator resumed normal cooling
GE dishwasher (GSD2100V55BB) — North Canton, OH
Reported: The customer reported that the timer doesn’t move, it will just run for hours on the same cycle. And the water doesn’t rinse out. So the dishwasher is full of water.
Diagnosis: The timer had failed and burnt out the drain solenoid. The unit was pretty smelly from having the water in it, indicating the problem had persisted for some time.
Repair: Work: Replaced both failed components · Parts: WD21X10474 — timer, WD21X10060 — dishwasher drain solenoid · Result: After replacing both parts the dishwasher is operating correctly. Ran a clean cycle with Affresh dishwasher cleaner to address the odor.

Reported: The customer reported their Kenmore refrigerator would not make ice. This is one of the most common ice maker complaints we see, but the underlying causes can vary significantly.
Diagnosis: Ice maker had ice frozen in it and the thermostat was closed, meaning that it should have been cycling. Obviously the motor had quit on it. With the thermostat in the proper position but no cycling action, the motor failure was the clear culprit preventing normal ice production.
Repair: Work: I installed a new ice maker and verified proper function as well as water fill · Parts: 1129316 — ICEMAKER · Result: Used one ice maker from van stock with proper function confirmed
Kenmore washer (110.22332510) — Salem, OH
Reported: The washer would stop at the rinse cycle and wouldn’t complete the wash program. This left clothes sitting in soapy water, requiring the homeowner to manually advance or restart the cycle.
Diagnosis: While the customer thought it might be the circuit board, our testing showed the shift actuator had failed. This component controls the washer’s ability to shift between different cycle phases, which explained why it was getting stuck at rinse.
Repair: Work: Replaced the shift actuator · Parts: W10913953 — shift actuator · Result: Issue is resolved and washer completes all cycles properly
Frigidaire refrigerator (Gallery DGHF2360PF0) — Salem, OH
Reported: The customer reported that defrost in freezer was not working. This typically points to frost buildup that won’t clear during normal defrost cycles.
Diagnosis: Freezer drawer front was out of adjustment. This allowed frost moist air to enter and create frost build up in the freezer compartment. The misaligned door was the root cause — not the defrost system itself.
Repair: Work: Readjusted the freezer drawer door alignment · Parts: None required · Result: Door seals properly, preventing moist air entry and frost buildup
Samsung range/cooktop (NE59J7630SG) — Sebring, OH
Reported: The customer was using the self clean oven setting and it just stopped. The oven door is locked and nothing is lit up on the top. The burners still work.
