Whirlpool freezer Repair – Akron, OH (wzf34x18dw00)

Louisville Appliance Repair recently completed a service call on a Whirlpool freezer at a home on Allendale Avenue in Akron, OH. The customer had noticed water leaking from a frosted suction line running to the compressor, heat radiating through the right side of the unit, and had never heard the compressor cycle on. Samuel assessed the freezer on-site and determined that a prior repair had left the system overcharged and the dryer unreplaced, and his recommendation was to return the unit to the store where it was purchased.

The Problem

Water leaking from frosted suction line to compressor. It stays like that. Heater is always on and I can feel heat through right side facing door. I never heard the compressor come on. Keeps temp so far.

The Repair

It’s evident that the compressor has been replaced and the system has been overcharged. The dryer has not been replaced. This was a very faulty repair. My recommendation would be to return the refrigerator to the store where it was purchased.
