We responded to a service call in Tallmadge, OH for a Frigidaire range that was overheating and a dishwasher that wouldn’t turn on at all with water backing up. The customer also mentioned the dishwasher would randomly fill up with dirty water before it completely stopped working.

The Problem

Additionally, the drain hose wasn’t positioned high enough and was draining back into the dishwasher from the sink disposal, causing the water backup problems.

The Repair

• Parts replaced: 5304509230 (main control board), 316419841 (clock overlay), 8269144A (drain hose)
• Work performed: Replaced main control board in stove and cleaned glass from under panel. Reset dishwasher breaker. Installed a longer drain hose and looped it above drain
• Result: Range temperature control restored to normal operation, dishwasher draining properly without backflow
