The Problem

Diagnosis
Testing revealed failed coil packs in the dryer, which control the gas valve operation and heat production. The dryer also had significant lint buildup internally and in the vent system. On the washer, we found a worn clutch, damaged agitator dogs, and a failed motor coupling — all components that affect the spin cycle performance.
The Repair
- Parts replaced: 279834-COIL-VALVE, 285785-CLUTCH, 285753A-COUPLING, 80040-DOG-AGIT
- Work performed: Replaced coil packs, cleaned out lint from dryer and vent, replaced clutch and agitator dogs and motor coupling on washer
- Result: Both appliances restored to proper operation with normal drying times and spin cycles
